OMG Thats the one!

In Gears of War 2, when Dom finds his wife in the caverns...I swear to God I almost cried...that was crazy awful.
^^^ Okay, thats a bit much. ^^^

The most disturbing? probably in either Psi ops or in bioshock. In psi ops when "garett" realizes he cant beat you, and he cant accept it in himself. The look on his face is fear that you don't see anymore. Also in Bioshock where you see the first little sister, drinking the blood.

Garrett man, he was fearless. Its quite an effect with the theme song added.
Heres the video.

when you commit suicide first person on the darkness in a mirror after watching your girlfriends brains get blown out by the person who you considered your uncle.
That's what I was thinking of. That VERY nearly made me cry. I haven't finished the game yet, I can't wait to kill that fucker Paulie.

Also when Midna does that creepy slasher smile...
That is definitely the creepiest moment in any Zelda game. When I first saw that, I wondered how Nintendo even let them put that in there.

Not really cut scenes. but almost every death sequence in Dead Space is quite disturbing in a "oh god make it stop" kinda way.

The "recap video" of RA3:U

It ends in an advertisement for RA3. A game you obviously bought already since you are playing an expansion pack for it.

I'm disturbed by the fact that EA thinks they have to sell us a product we already have.

Imo, the torture scene in MGS3 is both fucked up and incrediably awesome. Also in MGS3, i know it's not really a cutscene, but the whole 'Sorrow' bit is really freaky.

I absolutely love this thread.

I keep being reminded of amazing moments in my gaming past...I totally forgot about Prey, I still think that game had one of the best stories ever. And not just the part with the children, (the schoolbus part freaked me out as well), but where you saw the people you love die...and what happened to Jenn...sweet Jesus. It took me like 5 minutes to actually do it.

That game blew me away...the ending, and the credits song (Take Me Home - After Midnight Project) gave me chills.

and Jesus...the opening of Prey?!

I'll never think of "Don't Fear The Reaper" the same way again.

Bioshock. Most of the cut scenes there were disturbing. Good, but disturbing.

For me, most disturbing scene in a video game: watching my pokemons getting beaten by other pokemons.
There are no more Pokemon left.
Ash whited out.

Now for Yahtzee's version;
There are no more Pokemon Left.
Fagballs whited out.
It isn't Ash he's calling Fagballs, it's Link. Actually, I don't recall a Pokémon review, and I won't expect one, cause it's a game for kids and idiotic fanboys/fangirls who walk around on the uncool side of a gamer convention drinking milk from their mum, while we stand where the real games are, like Gears of War and...Zelda? (he said hopefully)
I think most of the gaming world is with me when I say that Pokemon owns GOW in every way.

Yeah, the first time you run into one was chilling yet cool at the same time.
The same goes for the level when you first enter the Citadel in Half Life 2, when you're in that prisoner transport cage and you're being carted all over the place. Looking around, you just get the feeling that something far worse is happening beyond what you see. And you just feel so insignificantly small...

I LOVE Midna. She's wonderful to me.
And yeah that cutscene WHICH UNTIL NOW I FORGOT ABOUT was really freaky for Zelda.

But then again....THE MOON.
Oh Christ! How could I forget about the falling moon sequence in MM?! When I played it for the first time I got that cutscene because I had no clue of what to do, and I was wetting my kecks and I didn't touch the game for a year after!

Jeez... stupid me...

*facepalm*...

Not only was it a joke (with regards to a Pokemon character being called "fagballs" - why couldn't someone use the same character name in different games?), but acting as if Pokemon - one of the biggest selling RPG's is not a "real" game because its based on a children's show. To tell the truth when I was younger and Pokemon was the craze I loved it - it was a brilliant game, it had lots to do, had fun gameplay and until recently was the only turn-based game I had really enjoyed (the latest being Lost Odyssey) perhaps you should think before you post...

Don't bring Gears of War (one of my personal favorite franchises) into this, not only does the "94" suggest you are of an age in which you shouldn't be playing the game anyway, but your general attitude towards games is the reason Gears players get stereotyped as idiotic twats - as you have just proved with your post.
1. About the age thing, the teen and mature rating is a bit over the line. Come on, who by the age of 15 hasn't seen their fair share of tv/game blood an violence? Gaming doesn't evolve violence, and scary games scare people for a reason (and I've seen adults get more scared than a regular teen).

2. I've had my share of the Pokemon games when I was young. Hell, I even bought Pokemon cards. I regret that I overdid it about Pokemon on my previous post. But, even though the game is good for children, as you get older, the game gets more noticeably repetitive and tedious. And really great games should never get old and be great for all ages, like the old Mario games, or Kingdom Hearts (although it depends on how much you like Disney and FF), or the classic shoot-em-up games with no story, and instead just sheer frustration.

3. I'm sorry for giving the impression that I'm a twat (I don't know, maybe I am, but I try not to be), and I am fully capable of admitting that I'm wrong in many ways. If I would rephrase now, I would just say it in simple facts, cause I know that my big mouth sets me in trouble. Gears is a good game, not the best, but it's impossible to decide which.

Speaking strictly for myself, I've played a lot of the games mentioned here. I really like the Fatal Frame series for example. The problem is that I'm so jaded being a 34 year old sci-fi/fantasy/horror fan, that I really can't pick a scene that I remember as having really "got" me. Though I keep looking. Honestly I guess this is one of the reasons why I have such a hate on for the censoring of video games and such.

The things that most "got me" at the time were in movies or books.

-

As far as Pokemon Vs. Gears Of War, there is no way to resolve that. Both of them are huge selling games with millions of devoted fans. I don't really play either of them, so I can't give a fair opinion. If I had to pick one anyway I'd say Pokemon is better simply because I'm an RPG fan, but I've never played a Pokemon game so for all I know it's horrendous.
