I have, I thought it was a pretty decent film, I assume you mean the fire extinguisher scene although the subway/underpass bit wasn't too nice either.
Actually I meant the subway, the extinguisher bit was a bit squeamish but it wasn't too bad, mainly cos I thought the guy deserved it. But God, that subway scene just made me shiver, just... urgh...

Really nice ending though, shame it was happening in reverse and you know what's coming...

The 'Sloth' scene in Seven. God that freaked me out...

Actually, scratch that! Anyone here scene a film called Irreversible? If you have, you'll know which bit I mean...

*shudder*
Yeah, that's the film I was talking about. And Monica Belucci is so sexy too, but that scene..... UNGH. I think that was the whole point of it though.

I think the fact the film looked so gritty and real made it all the worse, it could well have been some pervert with a video camera as opposed to a team all standing around with equpment and the like. Plus the fact it was intentionally dragged out, even if you look away for a minute you've still got another 9 to go.

I enjoy films like this though, that show scenes in a different order or show the same things but from different characters perspectives. I actually found out about the film whilst reading about Memento after I watched that, I wanted to make sure I had actually got everything right with my interpretations.

The part in Saving Private Ryan during D-Day when you see the guy laying on the sand with his intestines hanging out while he yells for his mother. That really made me cringe.
Man, I could barley watch that scene.

Also, Grave of The Fireflies was incredibly disturbing and depressing at the same time.

All of the disasters in Knowing were pretty bad...

Blood Diamond. The part where the militia bosses make the kids shoot the prisoners, and when they give them heroin, telling them it'll make them more powerful... *shudder*

If TV shows were to be allowed, I'd have to say the house Season 2 finale, where
that guy's tongue engorges, eye pops out, testicle explodes, and then house lacerates him with a robot surgeon. It was weird because we were lead to believe that house had actually gone crazy and his hallucination theory was wrong. And he'd just murdered someone... freaked the hell out of me.

The last scene and the church scene in In Bruges. Not the most disturbing but pretty freaky.

No one her knows what I'm talking about, do they?

In Twilight when Bella insults her dad and leaves the house. That turned on the waterworks for me.

Haha not really though. But Scary Movie 2 was funny with the butler's weird hand. Funny yet gross.

Yeah, just the fact that it was one unbroken shot just made it horrifying. I like the way the film was constructed but I wouldn't actually say that I liked the film itself, a little too repulsive for me :z It was an experience though...

At the end of thirty days of night theres a scene thats weird (but not horrific)
The vampire guy doesnt melt and boil in the sun with steam coming off him.
he cracks a little. then all his skin turns into the cracked skin you sometimes get on your heels. then he slowly turned to dust and blew away in the wind.
it was weird.
A really scary moment in a film though was from the crying game.
The guy and the girl finally go back to the girls appartment.
she takes her top off.
he starts unbuttoning his pants.
You are lured into the idea that this is going to be regular sex scene by the director.
Then, your standing behind the girl when she takes her pants off and all you can see is the guys face, lokking...er..."down stairs", and looking shocked.
When the camera turns around, the girl doesnt exactly have what you would expect to find on a girl in that department.
I was disturbed for weeks.

Ive just finished watching Knowing and there is a section in that where a plane explodes. That bit is pretty intense and for someone who loves the Saw movies it takes a lot to make me cringe.

Edit: Heres the link to that clip for those who haven't seen it.

So i ask you, What is the most disturbing moment in a movie that you can think of?
That scene made me think of head crab zombies being on fire.

Movies don't really disturb me for some reason. Maybe playing so many violent videogames has made me less sensitive to gore.

Personally I thought Happy Feet turned more into a thriller/horror movie near the end.
You know when he gets placed in the zoo and starts freaking out, hallucinating, throwing fish against the wall, bumping his head against it... To be honest even I was taken back by this sudden change of style. I definitely wasn't expecting that.

In a similar vein, Baise Moi is another gritty violent french film, where the sex scenes feature actual penetration. Maybe it was intended to be a gimmick, but while it's definitely pornographic, there was nothing erotic, or even arousing about the scenes.

And, in the Belgian film 'Man Bites Dog', there is a scene which still gives me the creeps. The film is great, it's a bit of a mockumentary, and it is very VERY black humour. There's a scene where the crew & the serial killer have all been drinking, and they end up bursting in on a couple having sex in the kitchen.

I'm just wondering what the hell it is with west European filmmakers!
