OT: The scene in the new King Kong when the guy gets his head eaten by the giant worm, you know how some people go spastic when they see a snake, spider or rat? Well thats me except with slugs, worms, snails and pretty much all slimy things, so the thought of being eaten by one *shudders* it was just disgusting.
You are the only person I've ever met who gets freaked out by slimy things. When it rains here all of the worms come out. They're huge, and dark purple. I nearly have a panic attack every time I walk to the gym. I know what you mean though. I think those things are horrible. And I couldn't watch that scene in King Kong. The sound was enough to get to me.

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is chocked full of scary shit that I can't even describe. Also, the rape scene in Last House on the Left. That bit was a little too realistic.

Soldiers being scalped in Inglorious Basterds. Some scenes in Old Boy and Schindlers List. But still, all three movies are fantastic.

What really sticks in my mind from when I was younger is -

A: Watership Down. A U rating? They really didn't watch that movie before they certified it.

B: Plunkett and Maclayne. I don't know if I spelt it right, I've not seen it in years, but the guy pushing his thumb into someone else eye socket haunted my nightmares for days after I saw it. Nasty stuff.

I'm still horrified thinking about that slimy slug tentacle thingy from King Kong swallowing a guy limb by limb.
Yeah man, those Penis Monsters were vile. You can just imagine Peter Jackson going 'no. it needs to look more Phallic!'

Poor old Lumpy, that scene haunted me for a few days :D
Doesn't really help that I found an article on the web today about a new sub-species of leech. Big, nasty fuckers with ginormous teeth, and instead of livestock or other animals their primary targets are human beings! Their favorite place to chomp down appears to be the inside of your nose, though reports indicate they'll take whatever orifice they can get, really (auditory, oral, genital, what have you...). *shudder*

Every single last part of the film "I Will Walk Like A Crazy Horse". Most twisted, fucked-up, pretentious, bullshit film of all time. That I've seen anyway. "Tidelands" would be a close second.

For me it would be Saving Private Ryan, when the German soldier slowly pushes a knife into the American soldiers heart. Just the tension, the sound of flesh giving way. Makes me feel a little ill every time.
I can barely watch that scene...

My top three in no particular order:

-The sabatoged execution in the Green Mile. I wish I was kidding, but it actually made me switch from on the fence to against the death penalty.
-The female genital mutilation from Antichrist. Couldn't even watch.
-I'd say the entire last part of Requiem for a dream.

Damn, now I want to see it.

Ichi the Killer though? Disturbing?

I thought it was kinda funny. And then a bit boring.
I found it very good. I think that Takashi Miike's other films are a lot weirder though, Ichi would have been, but it was just so lighthearted. Still, fun to watch.

The other films though, I can vouch that all of them are bizarre, brutal and incredibly hard to watch.
I don't find his or other filmmakers like him to be truly disturbing. Your emotional connection to the imagery is diluted by the lightheartedness of the material. I think his movies are pretty good though. The Hostel movies, on the other hand, were not disturbing at all. I didn't give a shit what happened to anyone onscreen so I wasn't disturbed. It all was just makeup and animatronics to me.

One movie scarred me when I was really young, like 16 years ago. The problem is I have no idea what the movie was called or what the whole plot was, but here's a description of the scene (if anyone recognizes the movie, I'll be ever so grateful):

The scene I saw took place on a train (I think) at night. There were people on the train, and for one reason or another, one person (a woman, I think) went into a cargo car or something where she was attacked by the monster of this movie. The monster (bipedal humanoid) grabbed the person and looked into his/her eyes with its glowing red eyes. The victims eyes turned "backwards" and he/she started bleeding from the mouth, nose, eyes and ears. This is the part where I freaked out and changed the channel. Out of curiosity I turned back to it some time later and they were performing and autopsy on a/the victim and there was something weird about her brain.

Kinda vague description, I know, but I'd really love to know wth that movie is so if any movie guru knows...
Sounds a bit like 'Horror Express', a film I haven't seen for many years. A 1972 B-Movie classic with Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee.
YES!! That is exactly it! And you can apparently watch it on Youtube. This [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NUjcFFrvx28#t=1m] is the scene that caused me to lose my sleep oh so many years ago. Not quite the torture porn that's been posted and fits this thread much better.

Ichi The Killer for the physical stuff.

Old Boy for the mental stuff.

Also: Grave of the Fireflies,
I remember my dad walking out of the room near the end of that film.
He loves war movies and documentaries, but his mind is stuck in the concept that Western war movies always have a good ending.

He felt completely miserable after he noticed the film couldn't possibly end well anymore and just stood up and walked away.

I feel a little sick after just reading some of the stuff here...

Anyway, I don't think I've seen anything truly disturbing since I know that I wouldn't be able to handle it.
