I once told a girl my feelings for her weren't entirely platonic. Apologising all the while.
THAT WAS PRETTY AWKWARD

That she revealed she liked me in return only made everything worse.
If I ever get a crush on anyone again, I am stamping that shit out before it becomes a problem. Confessing is the worst thing ever.

"i...am in desperate...DESPERATE need... of a girlfriend... and you looked so... well ...um... oh shit". just a warning to anyone out on the pull, that isn't a good line to pull on anyone.

"Wanna taste my rainbow?" My male friend come up from behind and grabs my manboobs, "Don't you mean, our rainbow?"
It was a big laugh.

Wait, I don't get it... You told her you liked her, and she told you she liked you back, and that's a bad thing??

"Will you go out with me?" - Got totally rejected by the only girl I ever asked out
Awh, well, doesn't mean every girl will turn you down!

I think this thread is aimed at men so uhm...

I remember a few years ago, some guy at a pub cam up to me and said, "Would you like to go out and play?" (we were about 13) I said "Er..okay" and he jumped on me and dragged me outside.
Another time on holiday, I was walking back from the bar and there was some lad probably my age possibly younger in the hotel corridor, I walked past him and he jumped in my way, so he I moved to the side and he blocked me again, then I tried walking round him and he jumped on me and slung his arms around me, then pulled me back and started talking to me. Mhmmm.

Asking a girl out, getting rejected, remaining friends, and then finding out (up to a year) later that she's a lesbian. This has happened to me more than once.

Context: a girl is trying *really* hard to get me to dance with her at a party in front of all our friends. I get annoyed, mostly because I don't feel like it and I'm not great dancer. I knew she fancied me, and this was a ploy to get things moving.

So I say loudly, in front of everyone: " I don't want to date you!"

I still cringe when I remember the look on her face.

'Wow your surprisingly short' Said by me yesterday to a girl i'd just met, not quite sure what i was thinking at the time but atleast i then justified it by telling her it was a good thing because she didnt have to eat as much to survive and was less likely to fall through ice.

Yeh i'm a stud.

Once one of my closer friends (which also happened to be the girl that I can never completely say that I have stopped loving) was apparently depressed. She told me by saying "Dont worry, I'm depresssed today too" because my facial expression always makes me look depressed. Anyway, I asked what was wrong and she refused to tell me, so I offered to tell her a secret about myself (one embarrassing enough that I wont repeat here) and she responded with "I miss my mum" *facepalm*

Hi?
Fuck, ninja'd. Oh well.

OT: When I confessed openly that I loved a girl that it turned out she didn't love me... Among my "friends" who laughed at my face.

That's a big NO to ever grasp love again.

So?

I don't mean to be callous, but so? You can't avoid feeling things forever.

So did anything come of it? Should we expect little baby monkfish?

Aaaa man, I could write a book on this.
But my best(as in my worst, and most awkward) line was after I went to a play with a school mate of mine:
"You know that dress combined with that curly hair of yours make you look really unattractive." Seconds later :"Man do you smell that whore how used such a cheep and disgusting perfume?"(I really, and honestly didn't realise it was hers)

I used to be a total insensitive, ignorant, jerk when I first started dating. And all because I though "constructive" criticism was good(I didn't get the first part right for the first year of dating).
But I've learned from my mistakes.

Now that would be creepy.I know one of my friends carries a knife with her, I think that's a bit extreme but, hey, to each her own.
I know the most embarrassing thing I've ever said to a guy was over the internet, and he was asking around for ideas for his birthday party, and, you know how the the 'd' button is right next to the 's' button? I said something like 'Why not a (my idea for party) with your mated?"
Lol. Luckily they were pretty good about it. And it's not like I knew them personally or anything so: *breathes sigh of relief*.
