I recently watched Remember the Titans which is a pretty moving film in my opinion and it got me thinking of what other Movies affected me on an emotional level. So I was just wondering what scenes had the biggest emotional effect on my fellow escapists.

* Spoiler Alert *(Sorry I don't know how to do that spoiler thing)

Mine would have to be the part in Gladiator where Russell Crowe kills the emperor and then dies it actually brought tears to my eyes though they where manly man tears cause I'm a man and I have no feelings.

INB4 Artax in the Swamp of Sadness. Last thing to get me close to bawwing was a YT vid, can't remember a movie doing it.

BTW, the vid was a father completing a triathlon carrying his severely crippled (don't know what he had)son through the swimming, bike and running parts.

The ending to Pan's Labyrinth gets me every. single. time. I usually don't cry at movie scenes.

I'm probably going to take some flak for this, but w/e:
The burning of Hometree in Avatar

EDIT: Honestly, it didn't hit me all that hard, but just more than most, as the few movies I generally go see aren't especially emotional. I've seen three movies in the last few years: Avatar, The A-team, and How to Train Your Dragon... On that note, the scene where Hiccup first sort of bonds with Toothless is pretty D'awww

The final battle in The Last Samurai.

"Perfect... they are all... perfect."

Let the man-tears flow.

That's not the most emotional scene I've ever seen, but it's up there.

Don't listen to him man! Avatar was awesome!

Admittedly, it didn't make me cry, but still.

Gladiator for sure, I hated titanic and pearl harbor but still cried. (saying that I cry at pretty much anything)

One of the most emotional movie scenes ever though is the end of Schindler's list.

All of these are depressing. Anyone have really happy emotional movie scenes?

also the spoiler thing is [,spoiler,], the spoiler, [,/,spoiler,] without all the commas hope that made sense

Toy Story 3's last 20 minutes. I swear there wasn't a single dry eye in the theatre by the end of that film.

Also the death of Littlefoot's mother in The Land Before Time... Shoot, the only ones I actually feel an emotional connection with are family films XD

Oh wait, Schindler's List. Do I need to pick a scene?

Ah thank you that makes sense considering how quotes work.

I felt really sad after watching that scene. Will Smith really was a legend in that movie.

The scene in The Lion King where Mufasa dies and Simba is telling him to wake up and the scene at the end of The Lion King when Simba defeats Scar and it's all raining and hes climbing up pride rock to take his place as king as the epic music plays.

This. The movie as a whole. Though I've gotta say the most emotional scene for me was when...

When Doctor Ferreiro mercifully kills the wounded revolutionist, and he starts walking away, only to get shot. And then he keeps walking until he no longer can. That scene still gives me goosebumps. So powerful.

And if you read the original book, the whole dog scenario is even sadder!

Yeah for toy story 3 when I watched it I teared up a little but I think that was more to do with the fact that I had grew up with the first two films and the timeline mirrors my life in that as Andy was leaving school and going to college I was too it made me realise I wasn't a kid any more and remember what it was like to be one(in a good way).
