From Atonement. You know which one I mean.
Actually I don't because I haven't seen the film but my dad got it off Lovefilm so its in the house right now.Should I watch it cause I wasn't sure about it
Yes. Do watch it and then get back at me. Seriously, go do it, nao.

I read both the book and watched the film and can not recommend it enough.
I'm Scottish and that means its currently quarter to seven in the morning where I live and I haven't been to sleep yet so while I will take your advice and watch it now is not the time.Bed for me now see you lot later.

That's pretty much a childhood killer right there. I must be one of the few people who didn't cry during Up or Toy Story 3.

Toy Story 3 and Saving Private Ryan have the most emotional scenes for me. The ending to both are incredibly sad.
[sub]And I certainly can't forget Full Metal Jacket! Damn that film is intense.[/sub]

Most emotional for me would be Roy's final speech in Bladerunner. I actually tear up a little bit just by how beautifully everything is laid out. It's one of the few movies where everything just flawlessly clicked.

The scene in casablanca with the national anthems. Why are so many other things from that movie so famous but no one ever mentions this scene?

Couldn't help it:

Manly manly tears...
You sir are a cruel cruel person. I can't see that without feeling like crying.

I'm a big sissy and I cry too easily at movies. I teared up at the end of Sucker Punch for crying out loud! Mostly its Pixar movies, the end of Monsters Inc, parts of Finding Nemo, and the girlie part of me can't help but cry at Romeo and Juliet and Moulin Rouge's endings. I know whats going to happen but they are well acted enough I can't help but hope maybe this time it will be different.

The Diving Bell and the Butterfly is one of the most moving films I have ever seen, if anyone hasn't seen it, I strongly suggest that you do.

As far as scenes go, there's a moment with the main character and his father and that's when I finally just broke down. Most scenes had me on the verge of tears though. Just watch it.

I'm sure most have you have never heard of it[footnote]not trying to sound like a douche, its a small independent film so in all likelihood few here would have seen it.[/footnote], but the end of Mary and Max is one of the saddest things I've ever seen, but at the same time, it has a certain sweetness to it. Its the only film I've actually cried during, but they were manly tears.

Beaches....

If you've seen it you'd understand.
Mystic River Scene with Sean Penn a good close second.

The story of Valerie from V for Vendetta, I don't know why but it hits me harder than any other movie I've watched. Also right after that...

When Evee goes out into the rain after being tortured for weeks. "God is in the rain." I think it's the music from that part and the fact that I'm still feeling Valerie's part.

EDIT: Also Twelve Monkeys. Pretty much the entire thing, after I finished it the first time.

man, i cry at just about every single movie i watch, I am just that sappy... heck name a movie, I've cried during it.

although, to this day, I still have not finished the titanic movie... due to being blinded by my own intense tears and massive loud sobs.

"There's a Christmas tree somewhere in London with a bunch of presents underneath it that'll never be opened." -Ray from In Bruges

This film didn't reduce me to tears, then again no movies do, but the ending of the film was my favorite scene. There was an overwhelming sense of its-over-but-it-shouldn't-be.

With only giving minor spoilers the central plot of the movie is resolved in only the most superficial of ways, with a strong sense of regret that the main character wanted to do so much more.

I Am Sam is a pretty memotional movie for me, both for sadness and joy. But the scene that really hit me hard was
when he goes to see her at the foster home and she yells "I hate you!" and he is just crushed.

Master and Commander.

The ship is rounding Cape Horn in a massive storm, and the captain orders the men to reef the sails on their jury-rigged mast so it won't be blown off. One of the crewmen gets stuck up there however, and the mast falls over into the sea, him with it. But the mast is still connected to the ship by the rigging, and is dragging against it, threatening to capsize it.

So the captain is faced with a choice: Risk the ship long enough for the crewman to swim to safety, or cut it away, sending him to his death and saving the ship? He elects to cut the rigging away, and the crewman drowns. Afterwards, there's an incredibly poignant scene where the crewman's friend is going through his things and breaks down crying.
