Most emotional video game endings?

Final Fantasy X and X-2 were both like that for me. I had such an investment in the characters, and I was actually sad that the games were coming to an end, because I enjoyed them so much.

The end of Red Dead Redemption nigh on had me in tears. Also, not a tear jerker, but both Assassin's Creeds manage to end in a way that leaves me feeling very uneasy, almost depressively so.

Just for me. I'd probably pick either the Kanon ending or "The First Farewell."

I agree for Kana: Little Sister, even before the actual endings it makes you cry. I can't bare to watch the scene before the intellectual endings. For me all the endings I have gotten so far have been sad to the point of tears.

Oh god...yeah, when she says <color=aliceblue>"Good night" for that last time, I actually had to stop playing until I could see again. I may or may not have been sobbing uncontrollably at the same time; I can't remember and would refuse to admit it if I did.

It's all worth it, though. Especially for one ending in particular.

Actually, the Kanon ending I mentioned is the one in that game that might even surpass Kana, for me. Especially since it was a one-day delayed reaction cry. >_>

Cool, cool. Those were actually the endings I bookended the game with, got 6 first and 1 last, and it actually worked out pretty well.

I recommend going for 6 first to get it out of the way. It's basically the same as 4 and 5, with one more thing at the end to make it surprisingly happy. Frustratingly, I can't say anything else without potential spoilers (not necessarily story, but mood spoilers).

Yep please don't , I am going for 6 first, im half way through it atm, just need to get back to it soon. I got ending 5 first, the last entry in her diary is a thing that was quite heart wrenching, Its one of my favourite quotes from the entire story.

MGS4 ended pretty Sadly. I din't cry but it was still sad.

No i walked away and started crying lol. Of course. And the way it ends after the credits ruined it for me. They should have had Big Boss wake up next to Eva in the cabin saying "I just had the weirdest dream" lol. Would've been better then

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEES! I got stuck on it for ages, but I'm so glad I got past it, because it is such an emotional game.
