If ignorance, arrogance and any other form of stupidity, then I think a lot of people are a lot worse than Hitler, he wasn't terribly stupid either - I mean he DID completely fix up Germany's economy from the crap it was in.

Yeah, for about 10 years tops. During and after WWII Germany was fucked. More so than in the 30'ies. I think that the mess that he left them in kind of destroys the earlier 10 years..

I can't really think of anyone being so evil that they should have never existed because a lot of people who are considered evil i find interesting and if it weren't for role models such as them our morals wouldn't be as solid and someone else would come along and do some horrible things.

As a side point though you didn't have to mention Hitler or Stalin at all. Why? Not because everyone would vote for their non-existence but because they are not evil. They were brilliant leaders and although their means weren't so crash hot it doesn't matter. The end justifies the means

Well, if I started talking about Russian historical figures I can safely say Ivan the Terrible. Not only he was a crazy dictator, he also murdered his own son, ending the Ruricovich dynasty.

Also he was a crappy politician, most of the wars he started has cost Russia a lot of land

The whole England declaring war on Germany being unfair thing aint really a good argument as Germany had just totally a**f***** another country called Poland (not to mention they also went on to take France, Denmark, Holland and so forth).

Undoubtedly, the most evil person in history is someone we have never heard of. Someone whom history has forgotten. Or maybe it was someone we will never heard of because said person only harmed a few individuals. Because, as horrible as genocide is, I imagine sometime in the violent history of our race, someone has tortured people for months or years at a time before finally killing them. Someone has probably done that to a person who would have called them a friend before they did it. Just for a note - they were taking back a German city from Poland was one their reasons to invade, Denmark was barely even invaded - they were bombed with propaganda, and there were even Danish solders in the German army! And as for France.... Well nobody likes them anyway - Nah I kid, but really though, that was later.
Point is though they had a perfectly valid reason to invade - they'd even asked for the city back before since most of the people there SPOKE German and WERE German (or Prussian origins at least, but ya know same thing more or less).

And well look at it this way - you've already won, but bombing them isn't making them surrender - that's just the mass slaughter of innocent civilians. They've done their job - defended Poland - I think that would have been a better time to call an end...

Still fact is - as you're saying this is AFTER Hitler was killed, so we're getting off topic here the evil guy was dead, so let's get back on topic. Hitler invaded Poland to re-take the city basically (can't remember the name, just look around)

By dangerous I meant in slit the throat of the victem after they've had their fun for a few days, of course this is after they kept them locked in the basement like an animal. We have had a few cases where people have taken children and kept them as slaves. It happened in the US a couple years back, I can't remember the names but this person was kidnapped and used as a sex-slave of a pedophile for almost half of her life.

To both of you, I was just supporting the point that it's not having a sexual attraction to children that's wrong; it's actually having sex with them. I've never personally met any pedophiles, but I gather that there are quite a few who have an attraction yet understand that the actual sex would be wrong. I'm not sure I feel comfortable saying that kind of person is evil. The example of a solider was to say that the potential to do something shouldn't be counted the same as the act.

When I said pedophile, I mean't child rapist. Getting off to kids is wrong in it's own way but as long as it doesn't escalate from a mere fetish it's tolerable.

I know your probably sick of this little back and forth but how do you think they get stuff to "get off" to? A child somewhere has to be abused for them to get off to something ... I think it's all awful and seperating pedophile down into different groups is nothing but semantics.

On topic. That dutch (I think) man who hid his daughter in a tiny basement and had like 4 kids with her till she was 18. I think he also abused his and his daughters kids aswell.

I knew he was bad before, but then I ended up studying Communist China while in University. That... pretty much sealed the deal for me. He had absolutely no regard for human life and was pretty much focused completely on whatever political plans he had. By trying to "improve" China, he ended up creating a crazed personality cult and a chaotic political situation. All done with a gigantic human cost that ran up in the tens of millions that he never cared the slightest about. He was too busy with his own personal excesses to care about famine victims or the people murdered or driven to suicide in the name of his ideology.

Alas, China hasn't gotten much better since.
