Most I've paid for a game was $170 American for Radiant Silvergun, used though gem mint. Of course it wasn't worth that much and I wasn't expecting it to be, but I wanted something pricey in my collection and it's still a good game.

Can't think of any game in particular that I spent a lot money on and ended up hating. I buy most of my stuff budget.

Halo Wars for me. I pre-ordered it and everything. Got the code for the "custom painted warthog" and didn't even feel compelled to put the code in for the crap.

Instead I tried to play the campaign, didn't find it to be my standard of RTS tea, and traded it to a friend for his copy of Fallout 3(and had him buy me The Pitt). . .

I've had more fun with Fallout in the first 30 seconds than I had with the entire play time of Halo Wars

any ps3 game =/
lol i like how you think..

I'd say Assassin's Creed and Saints Row 2 a good game and a great game, respectively, but my computer couldn't handle it, dang single core. I wasted $100 total(60$ for AC and 40$ for SR2)

It took me awhile to realize how bad WoW really is. There's no matching it in the "overpriced" category.
Except for the fact that most mainstream/somewhat popular MMO's cost ~$50 upon release and charge a $15 a month fee.
Ok, so maybe no beating it would have been the way to phrase that, but it's still actually higher than a number of MMOs ie Guild Wars.

The Pitt DLC. I 100% ed the thing way earlier than the 12 or so dollars it cost me. I thought the value for money was ok for Operation Anchorage and am hoping that Broken Steel is substantial.

Also, the 360 version (the one I have) doesn't have any add ons for TF2 as far as I'm aware,
THIS part made sense to me.

and even if it did I still wouldn't take back my statement since, they didn't come with the game (I judge most games purely on what is there when I buy it). About balance, it's balanced in theory (with one player as each class you have a very balanced team) but this balance and harmony falls apart in practice (I already gave you the example of the all engineer team).
THIS did not, as the add-ons are scheduled to come out free and I have never seen a team, even on xbox, with too many of one class. If you did, you'd probably be the worst team ever.

My main issue with HL's story is that they try too hard to have one (and still end up leaving me confused at the end of it due to poor delivery), in a good FPS the storyline and action should just work together well and be fairly self explanitory (the story shouldn't detract from the enjoyment of the gameplay or delay you unnessercarily) while HL's story feels forced and partially absent (most of the time I only had a vague idea as to what I was supposed to be doing and why I cared). The dialogue is nothing like most cutscenes since at least cut scenes often have the curtousy of being skippble for those of us who don't care of have seen them before.
This part made even less sense. See bolded parts, I'll leave other people to debate further.

I didn't have anything to say here (atleast not anything that I remembered), but after reading this...so much this.
WoW, really, this game can't ne matched in the "overpriced category", like you said, especially when you finish playing it and it starts to get boring.

Devil May Cry 4, Special Edition.

I loved DMC3 to pieces (even if the story blew), but the fourth installment was just a big kick in the balls. It was like being a basketball; you spring your way through the first levels only to have someone slap you back down to the place from whence you came.
