Thats cool. I met them backstage at their most recent tour on February 19. I actually got to hang out with them for about 15 minutes or so.
That's much longer than I got, I got to shake hands, get autos and that was pretty much it.
That's still cool. They're pretty normal guys. Everyone expects them to be like gods or something, but they're just people. Jim Root's pretty nerdy and I thought that was funny. The only one who is really serious is Mick, but I'd expect that from him.
Yeah I was pretty young... and I think I got a little too star struck... I was a giddy, blubbering mess.... I wish one of them had a gun so they coulda shot me in the face.

All of mine are musicians and in bands for the most part. I've met Marko 72 or Marko DeSantis (Sugarcult) and Tim Pagnotta (Sugarcult), LaJon Witherspoon from Sevendust, all of 10 Years, all of Meg and Dia, and then I met the monster truck driver the Grave Digger.

Edit: Forgot to add in I've met comic writers the Tipton Brothers, and Brian Lynch. I also met Chris Hardwick (of G4 and his own shows and such) and graphic artist Joe Corroney.

Kevin Bacon. My family and I were touring a college, and there he was.

EDIT: Also, I met Kevin Spacey and former US President Jimmy Carter at a showing of Recount (good film too). The sound went out at one point, so Spacey recited his lines in time with the film. Priceless.

I met all of nightwish but that's about it i generally give famous people a wide berth they have enough problems without random people talking to them on the street.

Ok, I just thought of something - I've never really talked to or met him (I figure he would rather be left alone), but I've seen Stephen King around a few times - at the movies once, and sitting at a cafe eating dinner. I used to walk my sister's dog past his house all the time.

I was in North Carolina for a Nightwish/Sonata Arctica show and while I was sitting at the bar pre-show the lead singer of Sonata bought me a drink and hit on me in a very sexy Finnish accent...and oddly my BF was ok with it.

Maybe that's what it was.... they didn't say anything, so it was kinda strange to say anything while meeting them... and them NOT saying anything back.

Yeah, if they never said anything and stayed all serious, then I would definitely been nervous

I'm so jealous :(
Yeah, and the cool thing was; this was a couple of years before he became coach of the Dutch football squad and he was wearing an orange sweater.(which is as you may or may not know the dutch national color)
Yeah I know, I'm Dutch :D

I met Jackie Chan when he was doing a film in the street next to where I was living (in Hong Kong) when I was around 12 (I believe it was New Police Story), got a picture with 'im and everything.
I also met Jane Goodall after she did a talk at my school in Korea about three years ago, and had her autograph one of the Gary Larson cartoons about her.
Oh, and I got an autograph by proxy from Jim Pugh, the trombonist on the Heavy Rollers Steely Dan tour (at the time I was still playing trombone for the school band).

The lead singer of Drowning Pool. Although he was drunk at the time and seems like a loser.
A loser how, might I ask? I've only heard a couple of their songs, but they seem rather bizaare, but I wouldn't be brave enough to call them losers... he seems slightly terrifying. Which makes me imagine what it was like meeting him drunk.
