Tim Minchin, I touched his hair. It was the best day ever.
Ahaha, my friend got called up onstage at one of his shows to get in the bear costume for that one song. I'm seeing him in September =D

Will Smith came to my town to promote one of his new movies. And a lot of Baseball players really briefly, but I'm wondering if that counts. Same with Concerts.

Anyone here ever heard of Time Team? It's a British show about archaeology, yeah. Anyway I've met the presenter of Time Team, a guy called Tony Robinson, and he's a dick.

Summer Glau, Felicia Day, Adam Baldwin. 3 Most Famous.

Also danced with Johnathon Woodward when he was drunk which was hilarious, especially as I can't dance. I met some of the Dollhouse cast too which was great, they were so polite and cool. Also everyone else at who was at T1 Starfury.

Also spoke to Michael Macintyre for 20 minutes, he was hilarious. Ross Noble was cool as well but Dylan Moran was a bit of a dick to be honest.

I shared about a twenty minute conversation with Garth Brooks without realizing who he was....

He came into Best Buy and one of the guys in the media department sent me to "contact that guy" in the country cd aisle, so I did.

Went through the normal, "Hi, how's it going, can I help you, etc..." and he started talking about music. He asked if I liked country music, and I replied, "Only one song. The one that everybody loves- Thunder Rolls by Garth Brooks."

He grinned, and asked if I would recognize Garth Brooks if I ever met him. I replied, "He could punch me in the face and I'd never know who he was."

He grabbed a Garth Brooks cd, handed it to me, and said "How about I shake your hand?"

At what point does one person become 'famous'?

At what point does continuously adding a single grain of sand to another become a pile?

I've met a few music people like Katie Melua, and we had some boy band that I can't even remember, in the store when it opened, but the only time I've actually been affected by the whole 'omg its him' feeling was when Charlie Brooker came in to buy some DVDs and sadly I can't even remember what he bought, but I did talk to him for a couple of minutes and told him he was great and that I loved his tvgohome website, and generally acted like a hyperactive 12 year old meeting Miley Cyrus. I think I may have unnerved him slightly, yet at the same time I had a feeling he quite liked that someone had heard of him back then, especially as he'd done his best to keep his face unphotographed, hell I only recognised him by his email address, making me double take on the name.

In my defence, it's because I met someone I admired and respected, not just because they were famous, which he wasn't back then, he'd pretty much done a website and some video game writing for magazines.

Wish I'd kept his sign up form now as an autograph, he's one of the few half hours of TV worth watching any more with Screenwipe and Newswipe.

I have seen a thread like this before, but I won't get on you about it since the search bar is very flawed in my experience.

Most famous person I've met was Sammy Stevens.

It's just like, it's just like, a mini mall.

Depends on what you define as 'met', aye. I've been within 20 feet of the lead singers of Disturbed, Bad Religion, Anti-Flag, and a bunch more of those.

As for actually spoken to, that would probably be my dad as well, he's been a guest in a TV programme a couple of times. Also, an aunt of mine has a relation with one of our minister's sisters, if that counts.

Oh, Christ... a bunch of people. Aleisha Dixon last year, a couple of years before that a bunch of footballers and managers from football clubs because my Dad was a big sponsor at the time. Others are bands who I've met after gigs and stuff briefly, standup comedians i.e Andy Parsons, Nicholas Parsons, Russell Howard, etc., after shows for signing etc.

I've run into Robin Williams who lives here in San Francisco on several occasions.

One of them I'll save for a story in a moment, but I'm a little busy now.
I actually ran into him in Lake Tahoe once. Does he live in SF?
