So jealous...

As for me:
Had a crazy night out drinking with the Bloodhound Gang.
Shook Henry Kissinger's hand.

And... well, my pals and me used to hang out at a strip joint in Kiel every other weekend (cheap drinks and tits, what more could you want) and we stumbled into Michaela Schaffrath, a BIGtime German ex-pornstar. Nice lady. :p

I'd have to go with 80s Christian Metal group, Stryper. Saw them in 2003 in Pittsburgh on their comeback tour. It was a small gig at the Hard Rock Cafe so they were easily approachable. Got photos with them all and got them to autograph my 'To Hell with the Devil' CD.

Most everyone else somewhat famous I've met have been Pro-wrestlers. Jake "The Snake" Roberts, Raven, Disco Infrerno, Jerry Lynn, Sandman, Christian, King Kong Bundy, Balls Mahoney, Axel Rotten, Loki, Kudo, Christopher Daniels, and the Blue Meanie are the most notable ones for me. Have autographs and photos from a few of them.

Also met Country star Travis Tritt, but that was a complete accident. Didn't even know who he was until someone told me (because Country Music is a plague on society).

I met Arnold Schwarzenegger at the Teddy Roosevelt memorial in D.C. a few years back. Well, I didn't really meet him, but I saw him.

I really live a boring life. the closest I come is knowing someone who there's a character based off them in an upcoming movie.

although my grandmother is a friend of the former speaker of the house Dennis Hasser's wife.

I have been within 15 metres of Chris Martin from Coldplay.

Also, I have met British novelist Bali Rai.

My mother met Sean Connery, and my father has met all of the members of U2. Also, he has been within 30 metres of Richard Nixon.

Wilford Brimley.

I was 13, visiting Park City, UT. We met in a parking deck - my family and I were just leaving as he pulled into a space near us. He had a brand new pickup truck, with the factory sticker sill on it and everything. As he pulled into his space, he seriously tore up the passenger side - rear view mirror came off, and the door probably wouldn't open. (He parked next to one of the pillars that support the structure.)

He got out, and didn't even realize what happened. My dad told him, and when he saw the damage he let out a stream of all the most awful words a kid could hear. I don't think he had his oatmeal that morning. It was the awesomest thing I've ever seen. (Mr. Brimley, if you see this, you're still awesome and the internet loves you.)

I met Vince Vaughn once, although I didn't interact with him much. It's embarrassing to admit that you are impressed with someone merely because their job makes them famous. I'm not even a big Vince Vaughn fan.

I did also meet Sir Ian Mckellen while I was working at a big theatre and the Royal Shakespeare Company came to do King Lear. Ian Mckellen is homosexual, so I had the following converesation about him when I hosted the afterparty. My coworkers were teasing me about Ian's supposed attraction to "young-looking guys" (I look about 5-6 years younger than I actually am) saying he might make a move on me.

My response to them was: "A, Grow up, and B, do you know how awesome it would be if I could tell people that GANDALF hit on me!?!"

My guess as to the first question would've been because at the time it happened you were about 9 years old whereas I was 19. They were down to earth talked mostly about (music) equipment and toys we played with as kids.
Though I and my friend actively avoided politics it came up anyway. Brad Wilk was probably the most sociable and nicest guy of the bunch.

I met Paula Dean, from the Food network.
I'd much rather meet famous people who have earned their reputation rather than "celebrities." E.g. musicians and skilled actors.

I saw the play waiting for godot recently, so i saw patrick stewart in a play. That's right. I saw captain effin' picard! and sir Ian mckellen to boot!
Seeing those two in Waiting for Godot has now become my life's ambition. I love that play.

Let's see... I've met Sonata Arctica, which was awkward because their English wasn't very good, but still AWESOME.

I've met the rhythm guitarist/keyboardist from Franz Ferdinand. He was on crutches. He had to perform the show sitting down. He was one of the nicest people I think I've ever met.

I've met the Aggrolites, but I don't care because I really don't like their music. More interesting was meeting Flogging Molly, who they were opening for. Molly is a group of really cool, really funny guys. I liked them a lot.

Oh, and I met Jet Black Stare and Drowning Pool at a merch stand. Nice guys.

And I've seen Dick Cheney and Tom Brokaw, but I never physically "met" them.
