I had a lucid dream when i was like 9 or 10. It was your typical kids nightmare, being chased by a monster etc..., but half way through the dream I became conscious that it was just a dream while I was still in the dream. It went from extreme horror to a fun game of hide and seek. One of the most amazing experiences of my life, I wish I could have one again.

I've got some pretty heavy psychological issues, so if I posted my most fucked up dream, it'd get me suspended again. Let's just say it involves duct tape, barbed wire, a pipe wrench, and . . . well, I may have said too much right there.

I think its a tie between the one where I transformed into a teenage girl and made out with an asian girl, the one where I shot my brother to regain demon powers only to fall prey to a curse that aged me backwards and the one where two gay Vampires thought I was spying on them and I told them that I was having a dream in which I was a vampire.
I've had a lot of screwed dreams in my life, but most of them were strange, not nightmares. One nightmare I did have occurred just after I had watched my ex-wife give birth to our daughter. I was strong and supportive for the sake of my young wife but when I went home I had 2 nasty dreams. The first one involved a man who was grabbing dogs by their snouts and ripping their upper jaw from their lower. On the rare occasion where I have nightmares, I usually wake up right away. This was no exception. however, when I returned to my slumber, I dream't that my ex and I were sitting a beach and the tide kept trying to pull her away from me. I kept trying to protect her but the tide was winning. My mind then woke me up, and I wasn't able to stop shaking nor sleep for the rest of the night.
Last night I had a dream that people were killed by some natural disaster (which I cant remember) Then some of us survivors had found a place with tons of food. Afterwards I remember everyone getting startled, so I ran down a snowy mountain (which we were aparently on) and turned around the see people being raped by wookies. As I ran down the mountain there was a time lapse where it was suddenly the next summer or something because there was no snow, and then I said hi to some of the people there.
Probably not my freakiest dream, but it's definately one of them.

I'm walking down my street, only it's not my street and it's floating in the middle of the sky, then I fall down the side through a massive hedgerow until I hit the ground with a thud and a lot of dust.

The falling part of your dream, which is common in dreams and other stages of sleep, may have been what is known as a Mycolonous -check spelling- reaction. The reaction is a defense response of the brain after detecting something odd occurring in the surroundings of the sleeper, like a strange noise. It triggers a small seizure which wakes the sleeper. That is why most people wake up before hitting the ground.

Because dream sleep, or REM sleep, occurs in a specific sleep cycle which is then followed by deeper stages of sleep, our dreams seem, upon waking, to be one or two big dreams. That's why dreams appear to take bizzare turns, like you mentioned in your dream.
That was probably 3 dreams you had that night, which upon waking, were mentally interpreted as one. I like the progression, first you commit heinous acts -the rapes-, then you are pursued -the cornfield chase-, then you get punished by the slide to Hell. one night a few weeks agao i dreamt that i had been captured by the band Deftones who were carrying me accross the mountains to exploit me as a circus act. we had to go into a cave shaped like the head of Anton LeVay and i fell to my death in his synases. i woke up and went back to sleep and had a dream thast a snake had come into the house and begun giving birth to translucent snakes with pinchers for heads.
