I'd also maybe put Legend of Legaia up there, but that game wasn't hard...it just had one near-impossible boss battle. DAMN YOU XAIN.

I'd say either Ninja Gaiden and Shinobi for the reason of being unforgiving and Fire Emblem Radient Dawn for make a wrong move and you are screwed gameplay

Warcraft 3, The Frozen Throne was bloody hard! I think I spent atleast 10 - 20 hours on each level, thats another game where you do one thing wrong you have to start all over again but atleast I can save the game when I am doing well.

Even mutiplayer with CUI involved becomes a pain in the ass. Way too much micromanagement. Way too much. Still love the game though.

I know what you mean. It took me around 2 years to get good at micro managing but still not that good.

I've just bought the new Dark Athena game and I started on the Butcher Bay campaign. It's probably the hardest game I've ever played. Saying that, I've only had to put on easy for one section. You get attacked by a giant robo-suit guy that can only be damaged if you hit him in the back. Very hard.

Dead Rising would be my console game of choice. Depressingly boring and slow. Out of 5 hours of gameplay I'd spend 5 minutes on the horribly written plot and the rest killing zombies. As soon as I realised this I got rid of it.
