i got one for you! When the movie is almost over and the main character(s) are facing certain death and suddenly the character you could have sworn just died or got killed, comes back, and saves the hero/heroine (sometines by sacrificing him/herself to save said hero/heroine(s))

The stupid Hollywood kiss. Where the "hero" has to kiss the "damsel (sometimes in distress)" no matter WHAT. Dont mind the fact that they havent had any real emotional bonding...THE HERO GETS TO KISS THE GIRL.

The EXTREMELY stupid rythm change or whatever in virtually all comedies (which are automatically romances) where the couple has some STUPID fight or disagreement and you KNOW they are gonna overcome it and get back together. Man Hollywood..get a clue.
I'd have to disagree there. Exhibit A: the Army of Darkness theatrical ending.
"Hail to the king, baby."
The original ending is good too, but you know what they say. [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/YourMileageMayVary]

Not a cliched ending, exactly, but the increasing prevalence of post-credits scenes in films annoys me. It just means that I miss 30 seconds of the film until the DVD comes out and I can fast forward through the credits.

Oh, look, the Underdog won. How surprising.

That's why I really liked the Cars ending. Did Lightning McQueen win? No, in fact, he came in 3rd, but the reason he didn't win really gripped you, and it was an ending that really surprised me, since it didn't go with the cliche.

So, we can agree that these endings can go die in a fire. I mean, seriously now. Romantic comedy where the main guy and girl only knew each other for a week, but at the end they want to make babies? Hell, even with the "Everyone laughs" ending, the face they make when laughing...damn it's annoying. Oh and the "Bad guy incriminates himself" ending sucks as well. For once, I want a bad guy that doesn't spend an entire scene detailing his entire criminal plans to the hero only to find out the good guy had a recorder on him. Is it so hard to check that he doesn't have one? Or better yet, just shoot him? Stupid happy "everyone holds hands and sings Kumbaya" endings..

The ending in sanitized or kid-friendly (or maybe not even that) stories where the villain is killed by karma, rather than by the hand of the hero. The favorite trope seems to be falling off a precipice and into a lava pit, whirlpool, rocky valley, etc. with the hero looking on solemnly. Cue resolution music.

I would have to say Heavy Rain... It was innovative in terms of game design, but its plot was ridiculously cliched. A bunch of murders from an unlikely source with a dark past.

i hate it when the good guy wins...... why can't the antagonist win every once in a while, once you know that 9 times out of 10 the protagonist wins, it kinda takes the suspense out of movies

The good guys win... but then some crazy random happenstance kills someone so it's a dark and edgy ending, because there are no winners in the real world. Alternatively, the good guys win, but it turns out that by winning, they guarantee that the bad thing happens and they actually lost, meaning the entire story was completely pointless and the world would have been better off if the heroes had taken the day off.

Well...I'd say that the Army of Darkness is far from your standard hollywood movie. And sometimes it works...but usually...it just gets really old.

Plus it feels a bit like cheating to use the Army of Darkness for anything. It will win over any example by default :<
