Most humane type of execution?

Alcohol poisoning. Even if it hurts, they'll be too blitzed to care. Of course, wasting good alcohol on death penalty crims strikes me as being immoral.

In all seriousness though. Out of all the execution methods that have been tried so far i've gotta go with "A gun to the temple and a pull of the trigger"

General anesthetic. Then when they're under, remove their vital organs. Bam. They die without pain, and you have a body full of organs to give to sick people (once you test them of course). It's the most humane physically, and socially.

Guillotine/Bullet while asleep. Seems the best way to me.

Guillotines aren't painless. The brain carries on for a few seconds before dying, which would be complete agony. And bullets can occasionally fail to kill, or take a while to kill.

Anyway, I reckon lethal injection is the most humane way.

Lethal injection is not always painless, it's just not messy. It's possible to slowly suffocate, etc. Bullet to the back of the head by a well-aimed close range shot is instant lights out, but society is a bit squeamish about it. It's what I'd prefer over anything else.

It depends on what you define as humane. If your definition of humane is to have the one being executed to suffer as little pain as possible, modern lethal injection is ideal. The first drug puts the person to sleep while a second one actually does the killing, thus nothing is felt.
Lethal injection is also the best type if you define humane as "preserving the body in a natural state for a proper burial"

However, if you define humane as minimizing mental anguish prior to the execution, then a bullet to the head in their sleep would probably be best.

Firing squad. Sure a single person with a single gun would be a bit cleaner. Then again that is hardly humane on the executioner, who would have to live with killing others, which is why firing squads are used in the first place.
