I went to Woodrow Wilson High School, in West Virginia coincidentally.
OT:I was taught since kindergarten that America is the best place to live, ever.
Sure it is.
America the awesome.
Pfffff...
Mmmmmmf....
HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
Whats wrong with the US?
Plenty of resources, plenty of space, plenty of idiots to take advantage of, and if you're intelligent you can get away with almost anything
It's a police state. Top Gear's Stig was arrested for wearing a white racing suit. Nothing else.
Jeremy Clarkson was asked by the airport attendant for a street number, which he didn't have.
He tried to explain this. He was met with the same thing every time he said anything. "I'm going to need a number." No attempts by the attendant to do anything, so after about 15 minutes, Jeremy gave him a number alright. Off the top of my head, I think it was four million, 87 thousand, 9 hundred, and 1.
Apparently, this was fine.
It's the idiocracy.
The fact that all the fat people ride around in wheelchairs.
It's all those things, and yet... I'd quite like to live there. You Americans have no idea what it's like in Europe. You have Tivo, Gametap, loads of other services only available in America, best buy, hardware stores...
We have shit all. If I wanted to make a Halo 3 Machinima, (I don't, but if,) I would have to either drive for 8 hours to Dublin, for a still EXTREMELY SLIM chance of getting a capture card, or I would have to buy on eBay, and be faced with something that could quite easily be broken when it arrives.
(eBay is cool though, I got the Dungeons and Dragons Basic 3.5 off there for 3 dollars from an American. See what I did there? Another thing that would have been impossible to get in Ireland, and what countryman is selling it?)
I am faced with a conflict about America.
But it is not the best place to live. Despite having the European necessity of having to get things off eBay, France is.
