but it can also equal 1 2 4 35 252 62 241 5426 73 33 5255 and every number you can think of

MATH IS A LIE
Algebra is retarded. I don't understand it further than expand and simplify. Which is kinda sad considering I'm 15 and am currently learning advanced algebra in math.

Kinda obvious that I get Fs (or Australian Es) in maths (but I get As in all my other classes!)

I can't wait for someone saying they regretted going to a Catholic School.
I do. It went to hell instantly when the principal when from a nun to an outside person. -shudders-
i'm sorry what?
The school used to be calm and collective. Outside person took over, morals went to hell. I'd get yelled at for nothing and yet people would be chucking around apples and shit and they would be praised for it.

tons of things once i had a teacher that thought that green land and the untied states were the same country because all the countries except were shaded in grey (this was because Canada was the main focus of the map) when i said she was she went nuts also all my science teachers up to grade 10 are idiots they are constantly telling things that aren't true because they can't admit that they are wrong or don't know the answer. ex: teacher said that people who are double jointed actually have 2 joints instead of one. still a lot more stuff

I dont know of any personally but there was a case of a high Physics teacher in a cambridge secondary school who instisted that the world was only 4000 years old or a similary stupidly small number.

When asked why he thought that he claimed that there was no proof to show otherwise.....

English probably. All they teach is poetry and shit. But it seems kids these days speak some sort of alien language other then English.
I say, my good sir, I do believe you are quoting Hemingway! Or maybe it is Ginsberg,we all know how he despised "poetry and shit."

God, why can't the 'net be outlawed for tweens?

HA!
Art lesson.

Teacher a randomly goes ''Cheer up, Jason. Why are you always so miserable?'

Most inaccurate thing an art teacher has ever told me, it's difficult to prove an art teacher wrong, some are in their own little world.
She was certainly in her own arty farty world. That laugh of her still haunts me to this day.

Lemme see:
In history class my history teacher said that the Soviet Union was formed after World War 2. I knew this to be wrong, confirmed my facts and let him know his mistake, which he took rather sportingly I must say. Yes I am a history buff, a huge one.

On day one of Civics class my teacher told us that communism is the opposite of democracy. Monarchy is the opposite of democracy, communism is a method of economics. Unless follow the manifesto to the word in which case it's a societal reform. I just let that one roll. I figured that little bit of "knowledge" was a remnant from the cold war's cirriculum that the government didn't care enough to change. They have better things to do.

quote]

The south isn't as bad as most people think. [small/]still bad though[/small] but it doesn't deserve as bad a rap as it gets. Now, Alabama is a different story.

And, I call it homeschooling, but I really just study whatever the fuck I want. I have no interest in advanced Calculus or Algebra, so I don't take it. Its kinda like college but I'm in high school. I major in Psychology, Graphic Design, and Creative Writing.

lol why do we get the bad rep. Im sure its much more smelly in New York than it is down here.

Lol and why Alabama? Is it as bad as Georgia?

I wish I could get out of Math....
Its a lot darker in New York. No one ever smiles there and everyone's always dressed in dark colors. Its like the exact oppisite of the south.

And, I say Alabama, because its (no offense to anyone who lives there) but it was kinda creepy. Plus they have signs all over the place for Christian propaganda. One I saw had a picture of Satan on it and it said "Go to Church, or the Devil will Get You!" and other billboards that say similar things like, "Dont make me come down there!-God" or "You're in My Chosen Land"

Communism is a totalitarian regime with a command economy, and has been shown not to work by the former USSR. This in a college class on government.
this is one of the most perpetuated lies i hear. i also hear so much crap about communism when people are talking about socialism, not to mention the abuse of the word anarchy.

OT: nuclear energy is completely safe....
i'm pritty sure radioactive waste, the defilement of landscape, nuclear reactions them selves, a few other things are completely harmless.
Nuclear energy IS safe, just not the level we have achieved yet, if we could obtain complete nuclear fission, we would be left with non-radioactive isotopes of elements, extracting all possible energy from actinides and lanthanides,
i'm pritty sure soaking up too many gamma rays will give you 'sunburn' at the very least. (cancer useually takes a while after exposure)
AAAAh, but the whole purpose of a nuclear reactor is to take the alpha, beta, gamma, and less common radioactive particles and use them to spin a magnet around a wire, if the reactor was perfected, the radiation escaping from it would be trivial compared to sunlight
I thought I'd get through the whole thing. Damn.

You need to study more. Nuclear reactors use radiated HEAT to make STEAM to turn turbines. They're just like coal plants except we get our heat from a different place. It's not like the Enterprise's warp core where we somehow harness the radiation itself to do our techno-magic.
If a leads to b, b leads to c, and c leads to d, than a leads to d, if only indirectly. So, yes, the radiation heats water, which turns to steam, which turns a turbine, which spins a magnet to generate an electric current, so the radiation turns the magnet to form an electric current

"Fascism is bad"
*points at nazi party* wanna run that by me again?
Nazism and fascism are two different things.
And nazi's were a facist party... name one good thing that has come out of fascism
The idealolgy itself, it hasn't been giving the chance to achieve anything.
Yes the nazis were a fascist party but that does not mean that fascism stands for what the nazis did. Does democracy stand for invading countries for oil?
that's not democracy that's just america, and i asked if you could name something good out of fascism.

My grade 11 english teacher tried to convince the class that brackets () didn't exist and that they had no place in writing.
