The south isn't as bad as most people think. [small/]still bad though[/small] but it doesn't deserve as bad a rap as it gets. Now, Alabama is a different story.

And, I call it homeschooling, but I really just study whatever the fuck I want. I have no interest in advanced Calculus or Algebra, so I don't take it. Its kinda like college but I'm in high school. I major in Psychology, Graphic Design, and Creative Writing.

lol why do we get the bad rep. Im sure its much more smelly in New York than it is down here.

Lol and why Alabama? Is it as bad as Georgia?

I wish I could get out of Math....
Its a lot darker in New York. No one ever smiles there and everyone's always dressed in dark colors. Its like the exact oppisite of the south.

And, I say Alabama, because its (no offense to anyone who lives there) but it was kinda creepy. Plus they have signs all over the place for Christian propaganda. One I saw had a picture of Satan on it and it said "Go to Church, or the Devil will Get You!" and other billboards that say similar things like, "Dont make me come down there!-God" or "You're in My Chosen Land"
Wow. Hmmm..ya know in Oklahoma everyone is either a prep or dresses black. I wish there was some sort of happy medium. Anyways. Alambama sounds alot like some parts of Texas.

But the Whole "Go to Church, or the Devil will Get you! is by far the most far out sign I have ever heard of or seen.
I remember when I went to New York for a winter vacation and I was the only one who was dressed in color. I always wore a bright green or blue hoodie. I got some weird looks.

Anyway, yeah, the sign thing was pretty bad. I'm sure you can find a picture of it or something like it on google.

This kind of stuff is why I think schools should be optional, not madatory. Also, History should NOT be taught in school. Also why I refer to anything below collage as a "brainwashing camp."
Anyway. the biggest lie I was taught in school, was that touching a child "down there" is an acceptable form of punishment.
WHAT???!!!

I really hope you just mean paddling as a form a discipline, which is bullshit anyway, but what?
Actually, I mean that I was molested by two of my teachers, in 4th and 6th grade. The 6th grade one was the worst, as she would soometimes take me into the corner and squeeze my crotch when I was bad. I tried to tell her I would tell my parents and she responded "Tell whoever you like, nobody will believe you."

They didn't
Holy shit. I'm sorry, I probably shouldn't have asked.

Did they go to jail or anything?

Not as far as I know. At the time when I told my parents, they got so angry at me for "telling lies" that I became afraid to tell anyone else. It wasn't until I brought it up a few years ago to a school counselor that anyone said I should tell the police, but by now there wouldn't be any point.
For one thing, the statute of limitations has probably long expired, for another, there wouldn't be any evidence, so it would essentially be my word against theirs. Even if I could get them put in jail (which would be very unlikely), it wouldn't change the past. besides, I'm more angry at my parents for not believing me.

Sex Ed:

Mrs. Moore: And so, during routine sex, the penis goes in the anus.
Me: Don't you mean vagina?
Mrs. M: Oh yea! That too.

Also;

Mrs. M: The average erect penis is 3 inches.

I am REALLY curious about her an her husband.

That really sucks, man. Sorry to hear that.

I couldn't imagine not having anyone believe something like that happened, especially my own parents.

Just another reason that the school system and everyone in it is fucked up.

I was told earlier this week that Ben Franklin invented both the fire department and central heating. But both of those have been around since the ancient Roman times.

That always got to me. Sure, I'm sure some of the symbolism was on purpose, but after a while you're just pulling stuff out of your ass.

Anyway, in one of my friend's classes in Middle School, they watched a Fox movie about how the moon landing was a hoax. Yeah...

Everyone tells me Columbus discovered America. I do believe that there were Vikings here several hundred years earlier and some evidence points to the Knights Templar being in America before Columbus as well.

Athena was the Greek goddess of war/victory. WRONG she was the goddess of wisdom. what makes it even worse is the teacher was greek :(
Actually she was both :p (Yeah my mums Greek and taught yr12 Classics for 10 years) Athena was the Goddess of War and Victory as well as being the Goddess of Wisdom, you were both right :).
yeah. so? were did she get that info from? western history books often get things wrong. Besides Athena can't be the goddess of victory because "Nike" was the Greek goddess of victory/triumph look it up
No. 'Nike' is the classical Greek word for victory. Athena was the Goddess of Wisdom and War

Why does everyone dress dark though? I mean are they in suits or is the whole city populated by emo goth kids?
People were mostly in suits (even at night and on weekends) but everyone still dressed in dark colors like black pea coats or dark blue jackets of some sort and most people who dressed casually either were in dark jeans and a black top or they were one of the many gay New Yorkers who dressed in lighter colors like bright blue or white.

Now that I think of it, people probably thought I was gay.

"Fascism is bad"
It may be mocking my choice of government but it's still fucking hilarious.
the idea of Fascism ain't all that bad its true flaw is that it doesn't allow space for the "individual" to grow and projects the ideals of one onto many. were as its polar opposite Anarchy allows all the space for an individual but as a system of society having no structure means all efforts of said individual goes to waste. i truly believe there is a golden balance in between these to but by all means if there was "one" who was born who could project good onto many without damaging the individual fascism would work wonderfully! :D

Don't know if its been said already, but my teacher was a religious nut. Everyday she would come up with reasons on how masterbation would give everyone cancer, send us to hell, melt us(?), and everyday it would be something new. I remember some kids tried to argue against her, fun day.
