Most/Least favorite FF party members?

Which characters that can be in your party in any Final Fantasy (that are not main characters)are your most/least favorite?

Most:
1.) Auron (FF10)-pure badass
2.) Rikku (FF10)- Don't you wish you knew someone like her? She's so cheerful. Maybe for short periods of time at least, I could see it getting annoying after a while.
3.) Sazh (FF13)- funny+chocobo in afro...nuff' said

Least:
1.) Hope (FF13)- Such a boring character
2.) Zell (FF8)- plain stupid

Edit: One point about the FF main characters though is that many of them seem to develop very well during their respective games. They even develop out of some of their annoying traits that they have near the beginning of the game.

Examples of traits FF main characters grew out of:
Cloud: Screw my life, I'm a genetic freak *wah* (I still hate him though)
Squall: Apathetic to everyone and everything
Never played 9
Tidus: Immaturity and arrogance (10 is my favorite FF)
Vaan: I honestly can't think of anything
Lightning: Haven't finished FF13 yet but I'm gonna assume that she at least somewhat develops out of her cold bitchy exterior

Sephiroth as well. That short section in FFVII where you're in Nibelheim showcases his incredible power.

Cait Sith.

He was just completely useless to me.

The turn based combat system never really did it for me so I ended up playing Kingdom Hearts and liked that much better

I also enjoy Kingdom Hearts (even more than FF). But if you won't play FF simply because of the turn-based fighting, then give 12 or 13 a try. They're both a little turn-based still but they do a very good job hiding it. In fact, FF13 has the smoothest and most fast-paced battles of all the FF games.

I have heard that said before but I might end up renting it since Kingdom Hearts 3 isn't coming out anytime soon

*Note I've only played 13, 12, 7 and 10*

Favorites:

-Fran. Just because she's hot and I've got a thing for anamorphic creatures or girls dressed like animals as you can probably tell
-Auron. Pure badass. You can't get much more badass than Auron.
-Sazh. As the OP said, Chocobo in afro wins. Its the cutest thing ever.
- Vannile. As much as I hated her at first, she's grown on me. I find her voice...soothing now. Plus, she's probably one of the best characters since she's the best medic. It doesn't hurt that she's hot too.

Least:

-Main character in 12. I can't even remember his name but I just remember he was the worst protagonist.
-Lightning. Bitchiest character ever. Change your tampon already, gawd! Hopefully, she gets better as the game progresses
-Cloud *puts on flame suit* I just absolutely hate him.

 

[Space Spoons]

Best:
1) Tifa (VII) - Easily my most used party member. She starts out slow, but once you start building up her strength and learning her various limit skills, she gets to be a powerhouse who can pretty much mop up any grunt enemy or boss in one turn. Pair her with a well-stocked Enemy Skill materia for Big Guard and White Wind, and you've got a one-woman army.

2) Ramza (Tactics) - Apart from being a very compelling character, his advanced Squire class is a real godsend. He's able to use the Squire's base skills, as well as a few unique abilities of his own (most of which are extremely useful). He's also able to equip Knight equipment, making him one of the most well-rounded units you can use.

3) Auron (X) - He's such a badass.

Worst:
1) Edward (IV) - No. Just no. I hate this guy and everything he stands for.

2) Lightning (XIII) - I haven't finished XIII yet, so this one might be a bit premature, but man, she's such an ice queen. She's a combat-hardened soldier, I get it; drop the attitude, please?

3) Zell (VIII) - His happy-go-lucky, "let's beat everyone up, and to Hell with the consequences!" attitude is a nice change of pace in a game brimming with teenage apathy, but he still gets on my nerves more than he makes me laugh.

For my best, Sabin(FFVI) and Tifa(FFVII.) Both 'Monk' style fighters with incredible power.

For my least, Mog(FFVI) and Cait Sith(FFVII).

Hope (also from FFXIII)- He acts like his mom just died in front of his eyes or something.

Auron is the all time best. He is the ultimate party member.

Just about all the female characters annoy me to some extent. They are either all gothy/emotionless, or they act like they are half chipmunk and squeak every time something even remotely interesting happens.

The guy supporting characters are somewhat more interesting, but for every Vincent or Balthier you get a Cait Sith or Hope.

6.) Squall (FFVIII) I dunno I just liked him...I was young

8.) Urmmm most of the charcters...

Least:
1.) Hope (FF XIII) Hes so annoying...I mean seriously....COME ON!
2.) The entire cast of XI except for the ex knight and mister shooty sky pirate, Its been awhile
3.) CAIT SITH (FF VII) I thought he was cool for a wee bit and then bam the incidents and grrr Also completly useless

Vivi- I could relate to the guy, and the black magic really helped.
Auron- For reasons stated above.
Hope- I could see why a lot of people don't like him, and I could also see him being widely known as the most hated character in the game, but he was a good contrast to Vannile (in my opinion, anyway), and I started to honestly like him as the game progressed.

Worst
Squall- You have no reason to skulk around all the time. Being introverted is one thing, but that was just ridiculous.
Cait Sith- Do I even need to explain why?
Payne- ...Who the fuck are you?
Riona- She had the attitude of a five year old.

Come to think of it, I hate almost everyone in eight, except Quistis and maybe Zell.

 

[Mysterious Stranger]

Like:
Auron (X) because of his sheer, unwavering stoicism in the face of undeath.
Cecil (IV) for being a tragic hero that doesn't come across as a whiny emo or a stone-cold *****. (Yeah, I know he's a main character, but I just had to say it. Make your heroes likeable from the start, Square Enix.)
Edgar (VI) for his high-larious attempts at seducing women and his usefulness in combat.
Sabin (VI) because he SUPLEX'D A TRAIN.
White Mage/Wizard (I) because without him/her, I'd be using potions like water.
Sazh (XIII) because he has a chocobo in his hair. Oh, and he's a damn good Ravager.
Balthier (XII) because his accent is suave and his bullets deadly. Excellent leading man.

Edit: Forgot Edge (IV), obviously.

Dislike:
Edward (IV) for the double-whammy of uselessness and annoyance.
Gau (VI) for the same reasons.
Cait Sith (VII) for, yup, same reasons.
Wakka (X) for... Guess.

Least:
Vaan, all of 8 and most of 7, and Wakka
