Will start by stating for the record I'm new to these forums so sorry if this is a repeat of a previous post. Apart from that Hi all and thx for the welcome I've recieved so far here.

Now to the question at hand. I posted this recently on the DDO forums I usually frequent and had quite a bit of fun with it so thought I would do the same here and see what response it got as I cant sleep atm.

So what is in your oppinion the most memorable moments you have had in front of your P.C./Console? Mine would have to be the following in order:-

1) 1st time I saw the rain on water effects in Morrowind. It totally blew me away 1st time I saw it and I immediately phoned up any even slightly nerdy friend I had to come see lol.

2) 1st time I encountered Velah in DDO. Tbh this has to be experienced to be fully understood it really is an epic moment.

3) Being totally freaked out and using all my ammo shooting at the shadows of the headcrab spider thingies in the air vents of Doom 3.

4) Watching a friend playing homeworld for 5 minutes before realising I wasnt watching a cut scene to a space combat game (as in wing commander).

In Kingdom Hearts (I forget if it was one or two) where the protagonist you were playing as for a couple hours in this town went away in this machine that revived Sora and said "Guess my summer break is..over." That made me feel like crap (understatement). I guess I'm really empathetic.

In KoToR, the box that you have to deliver to Motta the Hutt. Don't open it.

In Halo, playing the level "The Flood" for the first time. I didn't pick the game back up for about a year (mind you, I was ten at the time).

Good times, good times...

Metal Gear Solid 3, fighting the boss at the end was amazing and difficult, and then the ending that followed made it impossible to forget.

Arx Fatalis. Taking off a giant goblin's head with a fireball... it's just... indescribably euphoric.

When I first got my 360, and put gears of war in. Why? Because I'd been playing Mario sixty-four that day, and I was like: "Wow, graphics have come far."

The twist in Kotor will always go down as the most memorable moment in any game ever to me.
also in WoW using 2 accounts so i could attack myself from an alliance character and convince low levels that i was afk so they would attack and flag themselves for pvp.
ah good times

My first day playing online... me and my buddy playing COD4 and swiveling around on the ground next to eachother like demented terrorist breakdancers with our super cheap last stand perk...

1. The Jet Board mission in Jak 2 at the strip mine, when you have to throw the 6 (?) bombs. Took me ages to finish it in 2 minutes, but I was so happy when I had finaly figured out a good tactic for it.

2. When I first got my PS2,(When it was still quite new) and played SSX on it from 4 Pm to 5 AM.

I opened it. I had no choice.
It's impossible not to. But that was memorable.

"I Want To Be The Guy."
It's a near-impossible flash game.
Also, this is why acronyms should die.

My most memorable moment in gaming isn't something that was scripted or whatever, but it did happen in the game.
Meeting my eventual best friend in World of Warcraft (fuck you, I'm a nerd.)
Thanks for explaining the IWTBTG may have to go have a nose at that. As for being an honest nerd well as a DDO geek I cant fault you there (was thinking of putting a similar best friend line in at no.5 but as I'd allready mentioned DDO once I didn't. I dont think it pays to keep name dropping lol.)

Getting the modified gravity gun near the end of Half-Life 2. God, that thing is cool.

Half-Life 2 Episode 2, when the Vortigaunts appear from the mine tunnel and begin kicking antlion ass up and down the cavern. This was accompanied by one of the most badass pieces of music ever.

Also, in Team Fortress 2, getting a headshot point-blank without the use of the scope on a wiseass Pyro who thought it would be fun to sneak up behind me and foom me. Nonscripted of course.

Any battle involving more than ten squads in Dawn of War 1 or 2.

And last but not least, driving batshit crazy away from thousands of Flood at a hundred miles an hour through an exploding Pillar of Autumn and squishing covenant under my wheels, then watching the Halo explode at the very end of Halo.

On a killingspree with a machinegun and a pocket full of ammo in BF2.
Also getting the supah-dupah-gravity gun in the Combines nest. <3
Surrounded by templars in the end of Assasins Creed.
Beating around the bush with a baseballbat in Team Fortress 2.
