I got a good one. Several years back, I was playing Demon Stone. It was a D&D inspired hack'em up done by Stormfront Studios, the guys who did the good Lord of the Rings movie games. Anyway, I've nearly beaten the game, and am at the next to last level. I quit and go to work. At the time, I was a truck loader for a freight shipping company and I had nightshift hours. I get off at about 7AM. I get back, and decide to beat the stage before going to bed. I get to the boss, a Red Dragon. The thing is, after you whittle his health down you basically have to go through a scripted event to finish him off. The game wants my Sorcerer to cast a Charm spell on him. I go through the motions, but nothing happens. Then, for some inexplicable reason my Sorcerer just up and dies. I start back at the last checkpoint, which was about 20 minutes worth of gameplay away. I get to the boss again, same thing happens. Then, it happens again!
Eventually, I realize if I don't have him stand in a precise spot while casting the spell, it bounces off the Dragon and hits him, doing damage. And when I say precise, I mean precise. I literally tried this over and over for about 4 hours. Eventually, I find the right spot to stand in the stage, and I get a little cinema. Now the NEXT bit has me jumping the Rogue up on the Dragons head to bring it down to sword level. Nothing happens, the hit detection is completely failing on all the jumps. This forces me to start the process over again! I became so aggravated by this glitchy boss battle it gave me HIVES! I finally beat it and the game however, after 7 hours of retries.
TLDR; 7 hours of glitchy boss sequence gave me HIVES!
