No, this isn't a "What is your greatest accomplishment" thread, just a "What made you extremely happy" thread. (I didn't see this through the search engine. Apologies if I missed it. :3 )

Pulling off a sweet combo for the first time? Watching someone good at FPS games from a personal view? Surviving a button smasher in a fighting game?

Do tell!

I finally gold-starred Visions (expert drums) on Rock Band 2. It was the final song needed to complete my gold star collection.

It's nice seeing nothing but gold. =D

Edit: D'oh, one was at the top of the search engine and I missed it? For shame. =(

There is one thing that will always satisfy me and that is figuring out a puzzle you've been stuck on for an hour in any adventure game. Grim Fandango is a good place to start. Any time you manage a success in that game its a thousand times more satisfying than any other gaming accomplishment I can think of.

Max Payne, final level, I run up the stairs, frantically reloading my Deagle. Out of ammo for everything else, I see the bullets whiz past me.

I do a bullettime shootdodge in front of me, twist in mid air, and pop out 3 perfect headshots to the guards behind me, and right as I land another one at the final trooper near the rails. The camera zoomed in to watch him fly over.

That game is so awesome.

The first time I passed 'Green Grass and High Tides' on hard drums was my greatest Rock Band accomplishment, it was the fith-ish time I tried it and I was just elated.

I do believe finally getting a 10x killing streak on Halo 3 multiplayer was something that made me pretty damn happy.

I'll also add finishing World in Conflict, because it was the first RTS that I'd finally finished, and on Normal too (well, I suck terribly at RTSs...).

Beating Shinobi for PS2. Well, that or God Hand. Or maybe my DMD run on DMC3:SE. All those probably made me equally jubilant.

Specifically (spoilers ahead):

Beating Hiruko, whupping Devil Hand for the second time and killing Mundus on DMD.

Oh, I watched the Max Payne (the movie). The movie was okay, but I have a craving for the games again. Thanks for reminding me. xD I'll grab it when the sun's out.

Getting the Mile High achievement in CoD4. I spent so long on that one bastard level and fianlly popping that last head shot was so satisfying. Just need to finish CoD3 and WaW on veteran and to get 1000 GP in all the games.

Nice. That game is awesome and has the best bullet time for any game.

First time I completed an Expert mode Left 4 Dead campaign (alive). It was No Mercy and we didn't even use glitches! As we were legging it to the chopper someone got knocked over by the Tank and started screaming "Help me! Help me!".

The general opinion was "hell no" and we jumped on the chopper.

---

I can't remember when it happened but I seem to remember unlocking Hyper Sonic on 3&S&K was fucking awesome.

Well as a Team Fortress 2 newbie, I have to say that getting three headshots in a row on the balloon level for the first time felt pretty damn sweet on some raw, primal level of me that's been suppressed by years of repressed geekiness. I guess that counts, right?

Killing 100 people in Enemy Territory in one map as a medic.

Dear God, people tried to kick me for hacking xd

Or the time I got to be a DM on one of the biggest Neverwinter Nights server in Poland (set in Warhammer world) and getting constant 'thank you's for over 3 months.

Then admin's friend banned my IP and cd-keys on account. And surprisingly, server was empty in 2 weeks. Then it closed.

Was that friend angry for being dead by DM?

My achievement was to finally finish Sacred 2 with my Temple Guardian. I were pretty underlevelled.

Every time I've finished a Call of Duty campaign on veteran. Recntly took a break from doing WaW 'cause it was so damn annoying. I swear they get harder every year.

I was playing Prey online. It was five player deathmatch. We were playing to 50 kills and I was at about 35 and second place had about 27.

That's when my connection died...

So I fixed in about two minutes, logged back in and joined in that same match. Sadly, I had to start over at 0. First place now had about 31 kills.

Apparently, I had awoken the most elite gamer inside of me and attained Ninja like reflexes and fucking clairvoyance. I came back to win the match. It ended with me at 50 and second place at 48.

When we got back to the lobby, second place and two other people left and the other person that stayed said "No. Fucking. Way."

Two days later I got a friend request from the dude that came in second. =D

Perhaps my most entertaining was when I was teamed with a group of idiots in Halo 2 on the Zanzibar map; flag. My team constantly kept rushing one by one and was quickly slaughtered, fortunately I narrowly saved the other team scoring however despite trying to get them to group together they kept rushing. Eventually I said "fuck it, I'll do it myself" and proceeded to sneak into the enemy base with a shotgun as my team once again rushed like morons.

I snuck in, took down two enemies for double kill, grabbed the flag, managed to beat down a third upon my escape for a triple and tossed the flag ahead so I could blast the fourth guy attempted to ambush me - I think I missed a killtaculor though - and ran the flag home.

Of course those same idiots starting trash talking in the lobby until I mocked them myself for being worthless. Ah good times.

Nah, he was angry because I was more liked and because people didn't trust him to be a DM.
