Most Ridiculous Video Game-Related Arguments

Thankfully not as much as I used to, it seems that with the combination of the elites now allied with humanity and the general (though gradual) transition to make Xbox Live a little more mature but I gotta tell you for a while it was just everyone hating me, wanting to shoot me a hundred times before I hit the ground and saying it was always my fault if we lost. If I died they said it was because I was big and clumsy and easy to hit and if I killed them it was because I was unbalanced and they couldn't shoot my head from the back.... and god to this day the number of childish people who make videos trying to explain why elites either suck or are overpowered present obviously faked footage that they did themselves and are really honestly my last favourite thing about Xbox live.elitepie931 said:

99% of arguments seem to stem from the problem that people are unable to distinguish between fact and opinion...
EDIT: And the most ridiculous I've heard would have to be the constant argument around PC vs Mac - they're both good, for different reasons. I myself like playing games and don't need 'productivity tools' so I prefer the PC, while I have a friend who likes to use his MacBook for DJ'ing. At least our arguments have gotten more lighthearted

Yep agree there too. I get shouted down for saying that FFVII is the best when to ME it was. Great characters, great story, great music, locations and so much more other stuff then there's always the person who'll turn around and say "But the graphics were shit." Oh my God the game is 12 years old now it was on the bloody PS1 of course the graphics aren't as good as newer PS2 games or next gen console games. So yeah I spose that's another video game argument when people say "Graphics > Gameplay".johnx61 said:

I'm not terribly fond of Halo 3 over my other games, but one of the things that keeps me coming back is being able to play an Elite.Vrex360 said:

When so-called "HARDKORE GAMERZ" say that "realism" (as in, brownish graphics and gritty storyline) is absolutely superior to original aesthetic in all aspects. People who don't play Mario/Braid/Worms/R&C/Psychonauts/whatever because these games are "kiddy" are the bane of gaming community, nerd-dom, and humanity in general.
