Sarevok, in Baldurs Gate.

After hours and hours of trying to find a way to get him, I finally managed in the end. Storywise, Irenicus in Baldurs Gate 2 was perhaps a tad more satisfying, but Sarevok was truly a guy that you needed proper tactics to get to, and gave me a real sense of accomplishment when I finished him in the end.

With Irenicus, all you really needed to do was to turn into the Slayer..

Can there really be any answer besides this?
What can be more satisfying than killing one of the most horrible men in history (in a robot suit) using a chaingun? The fact that his body just kind of ceases to coagulate when he finally goes down only makes it even more so.

Hitler. I just tried thinking of a fictional one but it doesn't spring to mind, they're usually too obvious or poorly explained to provide me with joy at their demise.
you can kill Hitler in both wolfenstein 3d and sniper v2 so I'd say it's legitimate. as for me it's probably revolver ocelot in mgs4 not because it was a 'die ************' moment but because it was so poignant.

also Gandhi in civ5 mainly because he was a maniacle war mongering toss pot.

i think the most memorable villain, just on the basis of the battle, has to be Saren(or his metal remains controlled by sovereign)! it just felt so good to kick his ass to kingdom come after 10 deaths

The annoying religious ***** from the movie "The Mist". She manages to turn most of the remaining survivors into fanatics, and orders the deaths of the few sane people left. In the middle of a hate speech directed at the sane people, she gets capped in the face with a 38. revolver. All the people I was watching it with clapped with me....

Punching Handsome Jack in his mask so hard he died.
Well, I WOULD have punched him if I didn't happen to be wielding a rifle with a bayonet.
I kinda stabbed him a little. He did die though.

Adel from Final Fantasy VIII. She was pretty much a non-character so it would have been pretty boring in a normal playthrough. But given that she was a pretty powerful boss, and I was under-levelled (By that I mean hadn't junctioned any decent magic or got any new weapons) so she annihilated me. I then started a new playthrough and focused from the start on beating her. When I did, it was so satisfying.

...Other than Kai Leng, General Shepherd from Modern Warfare 2 and Vladimir Makarov in Modern Warfare 3.
[REDACTED!] ninjas!

I was just about to point out those 2. The MW3 one was ripped straight from the book of Duke Nukem himself!
Well, I don't know about that, but I still found it satisfying.

[small]In a bit of a sadistic sense.[/small]

Nothing big lately, except everyone of those bastards in Taken! Something about those scum being out maneuvered by Liam Nilson just makes the whole movie so satisfying.

Conrad Marburg from Alpha Protocol. There is just something sublime about making that cold sociopathic bastard lose his cool in Rome to the point that he forgets his exit strategy and tries to kill you rather than run like the ***** he is.

I'd say Kai Leng but he is a bit too cartoony for me to truly hate and his plot armour takes the sheen away. Marburg only seems to have plot armour unless you have the right combination of insider knowledge about him and abrasive personality to make him lose it.

And it is awesome.

Not technically a death, but finally seeing Azula from Avatar: The Last Airbender get whats coming to her in the most glorious possible fashion was really satisfying.
Oh yea, definitely.

I've always been partial to the death of Arthas in WotLK. It's not satisfying in the traditional sense-as in, you getting vengeance-but it was a nice way of completing his story arch.

Now, in a more traditional sense (WARNING: SONG OF ICE AND FIRE SPOILERS AHEAD)
the death of Joffrey, after all that time, was sooooo satisfying...even if Tyrion paid the price for it. Seriously, it was 3 AM when I got to that scene, but I got up and danced like a jackass for 5 minutes.

Vladimir Makarov in Modern Warfare 3.
Fuck yes. I came here to post that.

First person hanging and cigar smoking for the win.

Ulfric Stormcloak. So much more satisfying a kill than Alduin. Sonny Forelli/Lance Vance from GTA Vice City. I can't think of any others, I wanted to lean towards Red Dead Redemption but Dutch's death is not satisfying and neither is the death of Edgar Ross based on the consequences of these actions.

Going into recent territory, Handsome Jack. Right after that one part (if you've played it, you know the one) I spared no expense in hunting and killing that dickhead.
Jack's a tough cookie. He's an asshole, sure, but he's such an entertaining asshole I was a little sad when the time came to actually cap his freaking ass.

I haven't finished the game yet, but someone please tell me that Butt Stallion is some sort of unique we can fight. Please. Because that would be awesomely hilarious.
