Most satisfying-sounding weapon to fire

With Halo Reach coming out just this week I've been listening to ALOT of gunfire as well as a never-ending chorus of grenade clinks and the distinct sound of a banshee as it flies low overhead for a strafing run. As I was playing I started to realize that although I liked how the DMR performed I didn't like how it sounded just like with most of the other Halo weapons. I like it when a weapon not only looks powerful but sounds powerful too, I like a gun that when you fire it you almost expect the screen to shake (That's just me). That's one of the reasons I love the HL2 Assault Rifle, it had a really nice deep sound to it when you fired that just made it seem a lot more powerful. Anyone else here feel the same way or know of any other weapons that just sound satisfying when being fired?

To quote a certain martian:

"Where's the Earth shattering kaboom?"

I like to feel a gun when it fires. The larger caliber, the better.

The Uzi.
Not the mini-uzi.
The regular, full-sized one.
I dont know why, but it just gets me hot.

I actually own a 454 casull revolver. It sounds like a damn cannon. Seriously, get a real gun people. Games downplay the significance of damage a gun can do to your ears. I fired a .45 caliber pistol without hearing protection and I nearly crapped myself in pain.
Guns are real; games are not realistic. Learn from reality not the posers.

The Kar98k. Specifically, the one in Call of Duty 2.

I'm not usually one for powerful one-shot guns, but the feel of that thing... a real bang, not the crappy snap of the M1 Garand; then the loading motion, ejecting the shell; and then the bang again.

I wonder what it is about loading a gun that is so satisfying.

I know that feeling, the shotguns in Halo always did the same thing for me as well as the guns in Modern Warfare 2

- In L4D2, the pump action shotgun. Most pump-action shotguns, actually. I just love that manual "click-clack" of pumping a new shell in the chamber.

- For that matter, most bolt-action rifles, especially the sniper rifles in Bad Company 2. Again, reloading it feels so awesome, and especially in BC2 they shoot with this trembling BOOM. Delicious.

- Most guns in Bad Company 2 actually. A lot of them sound nice and deep. Pretty much all the sound effects in that game are amazing.

- The Thompson 1928 in Mafia 2, especially when dressed in a trenchcoat and a fedora. I mean come on, can it get any more gangster?

- The Combine Pulse Rifle in Half Life 2. I love that game for it's sound effects. Pretty much all the early weapons sound as weak as they are, but then you get the Pulse Rifle. Gotta love that deep DADADADA, sounds so powerful.

Most weapons there sound satisfying tbh.
Ugh, I beg to differ. It's like the sound effects come from a tin can. So high-pitched, almost toy-like.

Most, if not all, of the guns in DoD:S feel and sound very good.

[sub]I should play it more... It's a ton of fun...[/sub]

I'm actually finding the DMR in Reach feels very good. First time I picked it up I was a little startled at how natural and good it felt to use. The added kick in the controller itself is just icing on the cake.

FAL in MW2, precise death, all without being a gamebreaker like the M16 or FAMAS.
The M-16 and Famas are a joke without stopping power on.

I quite like the slightly surpressed sound if the compact pistol in CSS

And also as has been stated before the sniper rifles in Bad company 2 also from that game the Rex is a favourite and the M93R which is about it's only redeeming factor
