Most stupid reason to hate a video game character

I have a severe dislike for the characters from Half-Life 2, because I was continually told it was awesomesauce and a half, yet all I found was a mediocre FPS with a fetish for physics puzzles.
Anyways, stupidest reason I've seen for hating a character amongst other gamers is likely the same reason as mine (minus the physics puzzles), except applied to Halo and Master Chief.

How about my friend. He hates Dom from Gears of War because he "is a crybaby, whiny, *****". I hate Celeste from Mirror's Edge because she always looks pissed, nevermind the whole betraying you stuff. Also, every character from L4D2, except Coach. The original cast was way cooler, IMO.
master chief I dont hate it really but the name it's just stupid like beyond any fucking reason stupid. The name could just be Spartan II whatever number and if he is named just the nuber without the Spartan II. Like in Hitman
Captain Price, because he's been in every single PC Call of Duty game thus far. He keeps coming back...and coming back...and coming back.

I hate beggars in any video game.
I hate villains that take them selves too seriously in a way that makes it obvious. You shouldn't have to point out how screwed the hero is as you explain your plan. You come off as a troll when you do that. I mean at least the Joker and other psychos are aware that they're off their rocker.
