Halo 2, Beaver Creek, CTF

Our team is down 1-0 and the guy defending their flag is seemingly invincible, his team-mates are dispatched pretty easily, and theres just him in the flag room below us, all 3 of my team-mates stick me, and I just drop through the hole in the roof.

One explosion later, and we're at 1-1, my friend has a Rocket Launcher/Sniper combo, and there's one pissed off "halo god".

Hrm, well being a medic in Battlefield 2 pretty much covers it. I believe there was this one time that I had to revive about 3 people in the middle of a major gunfight and I simply dash and proned my way to all three of them without taking a single hit of damage. Mind you a couple of them died within seconds, but still, revive points for me!
seconded! that was the most fun in the game being a suicidal saviour (too slow comp to shoot well)

CoD4 private match on shipment. rules shotgun only except i decided i wouldnt shoot and only cook off grenades till they go off killed all but 1 of the players at once

Mercenaries. I was just fooling with the game, cheating like nobody's business (Portable Airstrike, anyone?), and dropped a gunship in the middle of the chinese airport. It was too damaged to go on, if the fact that it was BURNING was any indication, so I bailed and ran for a while. I rounded a corner and found myself staring right down the knee-shakingly wide barrel of a tank that was decidedly hostile. I panicked. Thinking quickly but, in retrospect, not intelligently, I called up a fuel-air bomb. My intention was to put it a good distance away and get the tank with splash damage, but my mind wandered off into someplace else and I dropped it on my own head. I lived. I was blown into the restricted area and promplty killed by the "Allied" forces.

But I got the tank.

Running into a koopa-troopa when my invincibility star was wearing off, my palms were sweaty my mouth was twitching and there was a feeling of hopelessness combined with the satisfying knowledge in realising that even if i did die, it'd mean one less of Bowsers goons in the world...

sometimes i still wake up screaming, with the turtles menacing face still fresh in my mind from the vivid nightmares.

Hope fails all ye who enter here.

BF2 on 360

I was hitching a ride on a helicopter when we came across the enemy helicopter, the average airbattle for BF2 insued. Miss Miss Miss Miss, Oh Screw it, fly by one another. This time the enemy helicopter was going to fly under us. Noticing this I got this horrible idea to jump out and take a pot shot at the helicopter with my sniper rifle. Not expecting anything to happen I jump out and take a random shot at the helicopter, without the scope, and with that I see the kill icon appear, and the helicopter smash into one of the buildings. I floated down safely to the ground, baffled by the chances, then about 5 steps later I am what can only be described as piss poor luck, when I get hit by the damn unarmed pick-up on Dust...

Another Battlefield 2 story, but for PS2.
In the the Middle Eastern map with the mosque and the river (can't remember the name) the US start with a tank, APC and a few humvees and the MEC start with 2 choppers and jeeps. A common strategy was to rush in with the tank so you can easily hold the bridge, hope someone can peg the choppers cause then it means you have 4 well defended Command Posts to their 3. What you don't want is the choppers to wipe out your tank early on. In this game I was on the tanks machine gun when the first chopper swoops down and hits us with rocket, causing the driver to bail. I just thought screw this and fired away, managing to take out both choppers from a stationary position. Sure, they were probably new to the game and it was a more of a fluke than skill by me, but I don't let that get me down.

Over the years ive accumulated hundreds of wtf just happened i think i might have shit myself moments.. One vivid one was during the Halo 2 campaign on legendary... the very first level when the two big jackal thingies come out with the plasma cannons... i had a sword, an empty smg, and a black guy in between me and them. somehow the black man was invicible so i managed to crouch behind him and avoid their shots then i jumped down and killed one and the other hit me and sent me flying oneshot above his head and i landed on him with my sword and managed to survive!

There have been quite a few for me, generally as playing "like someone with a brain cell" is boring, although my recent favorite has to be....

GTA IV (online) - Playing some team deathmatch (the name of the location escapes me), still getting to grips with the controlls (only had game a couple hours) and our team (BLUE) is getting thouroughly rinsed, so I take it uppon myself to try something new.

Everyone on the game was preocupied with running down the main street taking out the Orange team who are camping near some shops, and the purple and red teams are having a gunfight at the top of the hill.

the scene is set, two guys , one blue one orange, having a pitched bun battle between two cars when the blue runs out of ammo, the orange runs down the mainstreet to kill the unlucky blue. He sits there, waiting for death and stareing at the orange whil;e he takes aim. BOOM.

I handbrake round the corner in a giant red fireball and tail-end the orange with 2 tonnes of all american steel death trap moving at well over 100mph. I then proced to continue on my death charge up the hill untill i get to the huge war which now includes all 4 teams in one center spot. My Flaiming chariot getting closer and closer to exploding when finally i launch over the top of the hill and fly through the air and explode dead center of the battle feild. Only killed one guy with it, but hey, it was some pretty fireworks.

BattleField: Bad Company. Attacking team, Oasis.

For some reason I figured "to hell with teamwork", so right from the start of the match I jumped into the first vehicle I saw and immediately went to the first 2 charges.
When I arrived, I managed to kill 4 enemies, get a dogtag and start both charges.
Before the team could arrive, I took over the base by myself.

I immediately went back to the second base, at the plantation, quickly going for the charge the building near the river. A tank stopped right in front of my vehicle as I stepped out of it, but I ignored it and ran for the charge, I'm guessing someone was using the artillery, because the tank blew up, along with the wall of the building that had to Gold Crate in it. I ran towards it, armed the charge, and without too much of a problem, armed the second one as well. 3 people ran up to me, nearly killing me, but I pulled out my knife and killed all 3 of them.

With about 20 health left, I quickly rushed my way to the next 2 Gold Crates. Shortly after armed the charge for the Gold Crate near the river, 2 enemies charged at me, and I figured, since I'm going to die anyway, I'll just randomly throw grenades through the room.
The grenades killed both of them, and me, but at least the Gold Crate blew up.

Later on, when I was going for the last crate, I quickly went towards it in a tank, 2 demolitions quickly charged at me, and I immediately left the tank. Almost immediately after leaving the tank, I threw grenades at it to blow it up, which it did, right after one of them entered it. Also, it was right before the other one shot me in the back with a shotgun.

Every kill I ever made with the spinfusor in Tribes, the projectile is as slow as an ice-cream truck with bananas for wheels meaning you have to shoot where your enemy is going to land/fly overhead/dodge sideways. I enjoy the suicidal charge, though I suppose the first moment like that I really had was the first time I touched BF1942 DC mod at a lan place. I grabbed a sniper rifle, and just kept knocking these guys down, "DAMNIT! WHO DID THAT?" could be heard all around the joint as I smirked in silent glee. When I was killed from behind by a tank, I had 50 kills. Not bad for my first time at the game.

Day of Defeat. ~10 of my team mates charge through a smoke filled alley, all got slaughtered by the same machine gunner. Then me and another guy charged directly into this machine gun, no cover for about 5 seconds, 2 snipers further down shooting at us too. Miracurously, my team mate made it to the MGer, and sprayed him with his smg.

Like a proper action movie. Only we lost that round.

Played Super Smash Bros. Brawl with some friends, had a kind of tournament mode. Me and Phil were on our last lives, over 100 percent damage each. He pick up a capsule. I know, I just KNOW, that capsule's gonna blow up when he throws it. Well, I guessed. So I run at him, and he throws it just as I reach him. The explosion knocked him out first.

At the end of the tourney, I won by up + B'ing the firey explosive crate with Luigi, killing every single other person at once.

This one happened about two hours ago - Halo 3, Multi CTF, Valhalla.

The score is 2-2, and we need about a minute to get the flag back. I'm at their base and their team is bringing the flag back in a Warthog. I throw down a bubble shield, and jump and throw a sticky grenade just as it drives into it. In the replay, I see that it stuck the side of the shield and the Warthog drove into it. The grenade went off, killing all of the occupants of the Warthog. I then spent the next 30 seconds with a sniper rifle, by myself, trying to make the flag reset to our base. I killed a guy with a shotgun at 10ft range and another at 20ft range. I die, they get the flag and two seconds before they would have captured it, I hear "Game Over", and we've got the final point.

Lost Planet.

I ran up very close to a VS (big robot thingy) and threw a disk grenade. Keep in mind I have about 400 health left, and I'm just trying this as a last-second resort. The radius expands constantly on the type of grenade I threw, and I had a shotgun on hand, so I started blowing him away, knowing I had precious seconds left. Just as it exploded, I was hit with a laser rifle shot and blown a couple dozen feet to the left, saving my life.

When playing WoW on my rogue I was in Warsong Gulch (the capture the flag battleground) on about 10% hp. There was a fair amount of fighting in the enemy flag room. I ran up, took the flag, wandered out, picked up the 100% speed relic on the way out of the horde base, ran out the base, sprinted twice across the valley floor, still on about 10% life (I could have been 2 shotted bu about half the horde team) hit our speed relic and captured the flag. The game was already at 2-2.
I haven't played WoW in a while, but, God, if it wasn't mayhem in WSG...sides that-I went in the Arena PvP Gurubashi Arena in STV while there was heavy fighting in the surrounding walls. I was level 38 at the time, and most of the other people were ??s. I was hit once by an arrow, losing a good chunk of my health. I walked inside, scooped up the treasure, and ran out before I was seen. I got one of those medal thingies, and while I was studying it in my inventory, I realized that there was a rogue behind me. PWND.

Tall tall mountain in super mario 64. It took a lot of time to climb all the way to the top, and i was always dying somewhere along the climb. 15 minutes later i was sick of dying and threw myself out of the mountain, out of frustration. Suddenly the wind starts to blow and i'm placed half-way of the climb.
