A really pathetic one was in DOOM II against the spiderdemon. I mean, come on, all you had to do was hit him with the BFG 9000 like twice and he crumpled. WEAK!
Oh crap! I'd heard that was possible, but it never happened to me when I was fighting him thankfully. It took me about three-four hours on level 95, and when he started casting reflect on my guys I knew bad stuff was up so I'd always immediately get rid of it. In previous FFs baddies had done that kind of crap, I couldn't even begin to imagine how frustrating it would feel considering how much time you spent whittling down those 50mil+ hitpoints. I'd use the game as target practice if that had happened to me.avykins said:You're telling me. After like 6+ hours (okay so it was not intense, just browsing while they sort it all out) I had the bastard down to maybe 1/4-1/3 health. Then he goes and casts reflect on all my chars, they use full heal. He gets back every fucking point of that 50mil. I refused to touch the game after that.Silverookami said:Also, freakin Yiazmat from Final Fantasy XII, what developer thought giving a monster over 50 million hitpoints was a good idea?? It's long, tedious, and given the control scheme for the entire game, you spend half that time watching your characters run themselves around the screen, but you can't trust them enough to walk away and grab a Pepsi 'cause the moment your back is turned that's when they'll decide to go and botch everything up. (At least Yiazmat is an optional boss though.)
You took the thoughts straight out of my brain. I disliked having to endure such a blatantly awkward violation of continuity from the films, but making said violation controller-destroyingly frustrating when it should have been badass easily made that the worst part of that game for me.VitalSigns said:Star Wars Force Unleashed
Pulling down that Imperial Ship with the force should have been wicked. Instead I wanted to kill everyone who worked on that game.
