Hard to say. When Nintendo comes out works on one of their main franchises, it's a pretty good bet its going to be extremely good. But on the other hand, we have games like Wii Music. Bioware seems to make consistently good games too.
It can only be Blizzard.
You may or may not like their games, but their games are polished.
Their quality is always consistent up till the ending of the game. The games run reliably on almost any PC configuration and though any Blizzard game will work relatively bug-free out-of-the-box, Blizzard keep supporting their games with many patches for a very long time (mostly balance improvements).
My answer, I think: any company with the letter Q in it's name. Q games and Q entertainment have never disappointed me which is saying something. I don't trust anyone easily but I would trust them.
Sure they aren't known for their big budget titles but they consistently produce great quality software and I don't think either has ever disappointed me.
What do you mean by trust anyway? Trust to what exactly?
I would agree with you if it wasn't for the fact that Quantic Dream is making Heavy Rain, so I'm not sure if it will be good or bad. Need to play it first.
I was just talking about companies with a free standing Q in it. I can't vouch for Quantic Dream.
I feel the same way about Heavy Rain: just not sure.
I hope it's a revolutionary new form of storytelling but it could be a really pretentious collection of quick time events.
We will find out soon but for me, it's a rental for now.
The other companies people have mentioned here have made some great games but have also made some real bombs and/or fused themselves to one console in particular.
