hmmm....Brutal legend was most likely one of the funnest day and a halves of my life. that being said, it was already mentioned. That being said, I wanna say Dark cloud. It was an old PS2 title in which you basically had to rebuild the world. It was one of my first RPG's and I loved it. Then the sequel came out....my god.

The horror....the horror....

Who the fuck fights people with a wrench and flint-lock pistol!?

YES. I used to play the crap outta that game.
lol I STILL play the grap outta that game! XD
I found it in Dungeon Crawl in Melbourne a few months ago and decided to buy a PS2 just for WotM. THen I found Shadow of the Colossus and a bunch of other games for cheap as. Needless to say, I'm one happy camper.

Somebody is trying awfully hard to start a flame war. If you don't like a game, don't complain about it. Makes everyones experience here much more enjoyable.

OT: I'm gonna bend the rules a bit here and say the Double agent (or was it Chaos Theory)'s multiplayer, Spies vs. Mercs.

Original, and completely fucking addicting. It doesn't get much better then this.

And it really makes me wonder why it wasn't in Conviction. The fact that they had so much time to improve on the Game type and didn't even freaking put it into the game makes me shiver.

The Condemned series. Or iNinja. Does anyone even remember that game?

EDIT: Oh, how about Star Wars: the Force Unleashed or Godfather: Blackhand Edition. Loved those games with a passion.

The Hobbit for Gamecube. Even underrated by myself, as it was a good game but I didn't play it much because it was a gift.

Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds. By far the best RTS I have ever played, even now after SC2 came out. It's exactly like Age of Empires II except with Star Wars skin on everything.

Europa Universalis III. Another great RTS that's always forgotten by everyone who isn't a hardcore fan.

Mafia. Basically GTA except with a story that you can care about. The second looks like the first one but better. So, amazing.

Perfect Dark. In relation to Goldeneye 007. Perfect Dark improved on everything that was in Goldeneye. I don't understand how anyone can list Goldeneye in their top 10 on N64 when there's Perfect Dark for that list.

For this year? I'd say Metro 2033.
I think everyone knows it but it got really crap reviews by a bunch of sites and I have not a fucking clue why. It's the most convincing post apocalyptic game I've played in ages. Makes Fallout 3's world (which admittedly is way bigger) look like a cheap mockup in contrast. Dunno about you but I've always been one for quality over quantity.
I agree vehemently with this informed poster.

Definitely Alpha Protocol. I had much more fun from it than from Mass Effect 2, so it saddens me even more it was so criticized by media.

Sure, it got rave reviews, but still? How does worser games sell more in less time (im looking straight at you, San Andreas. Oh sure, you got better reviews, but why should I have to mod you JUST TO GET SOME ACTUAL ENTERTAINMENT!!!!!!)

Ah sorry bout that...

Emmmmmmmmmm

Phantom dust for my money.

Such a fantastic story. A fuckin awesome game. And really pretty good graphics for it's time... I bet about 2 people who read this have even heard about it.
Ah yes. The wonderful little game that a hidden Japanese demo made it to the US Xbox magazine only to be released later in North America for the English speaking folk. I may not agree, but I can't think of a better option at the moment.
