Most underated Metal/heavy/hard rock etc band??

Personally in my opinion it would have to be Saxon, as i mean they've been around for so long and were at one point the leaders of the NWOBHM instead of Iron Maiden Also they know how to put on a great show and have great songs.

Saxon are not underrated at all.

Anyway mine'll have to be Overkill

He was implying they're not a pile of crap since the black album, which they definitely are.

As for my most underrated, I'd say Annihilator. Canadian thrash metal ? yes it does exist and it rules - Dave Mustaine invited frontman Jeff Waters to join Megadeth in the late 80s but Jeff stayed to work on Annihilator which was starting to take off. Waters is a kickass guitarist and the band doesn't get the attention they deserve.

The Dillinger Escape Plan, I don't know anyone who likes them.

Critics love them, it is just that most people either have not heard them or don't give them a chance.

I like them, what I've managed to hear.

I think that Protest The Hero are vastly underrated. They're one of the most talented bands around in my opinion, but I don't know anyone else that likes them.

Dragon Force doesn't get that much publicity in the US. Sure, there's people here that like them, but most metal fans here have never even heard of them. At least, not in Maryland at any rate.

I'm going on a lim here and say Trivium; you can't deny those kids can play.
Honestly I think they get too much flak for basically being pretty and young.
..and yea I really do like Trivium.

I'd hesitate before I called Dragonforce a metal band...

you know their music is sped up on the albums? we saw them live and it turned out they couldn't even play their own songs...
