I loved Shadow of the Colossus, but I think it's too well rated to be underrated. I'd have to say that The Legend of Dragoon is by far the most underrated game ever. I'm suprised it hasn't yet been mentioned...
I mentioned it :p ..definitely was overshadowed by the awesomeness that is FF

all i can do is stare at you blankly. theres a reason that 80% of the people on this site like Psychonauts, because ITS A GOOD GAME! shocking isnt it.
Saying "It is a good game" is wrong, because something being good can't be a matter of fact under any circumstances.
In other words, people have different opinions, and stating yours as a fact is rather ignorant.
call me crazy, but i dont see anywhere in my post where i said that this was a fact...

go away troller..

There is a difference between underrated and not selling well.

Psyconaughts is praised everywhere, it's hardly what I'd call "underrated" as is Shadow of the Collosus, Okami, and Ico. Everyone is praising it, they just didn't sell well.

So I'd say LittleBigPlanet because so many other people are complaining at how they "don't get it" and never played the game themselves. Couple with the fact that it hasn't sold nearly as much as people would have hoped.

Golden Sun 1 and 2 by Camalot. Great RPG's that almost no one has ever heard of.
Fuck yeah! Adepts pwn all those final fantasy bitches out there!

And Medal of Honor:Allied Assault takes my cake for Underrated FPS.
RTS: Gangland
Sports: 2020 Super Baseball(SNES)
I really can't decide on an all time without three more popping into my head.

Pokemon.

Come on. It's the one turn-based RPG that doesn't suffer from Frustrating Random Battle Disease. You don't get into a random battle unless you WANT to and know when you can expect one and how to avoid them. I had a lot of interesting emotions playing that game, but NEVER did I toss up my hands and go, "arrgh!" at a random battle, and for that innovation alone Pokemon deserves a whole hell of a lot more praise than it gets! Harp about Endlessly Rehashed Sequel Syndrome all you want, Pokemon was and still is good.

Jet Set Radio Future

IT WAS GREAT!! It had a cool sound track, the storyline was original, the characters were fresh, the controls worked well (not fantastic but well), and the graphics were distinct and easy to see. It came with the original Xbox but no one played it! I thought it was a fantastic game.

I guess you already beat me with the Psychonauts one though. Seriously though, Search button man. I usually defend people who make repeat topics but this one is done to death >_<

Oh by the way...Bubsy gets my vote, not the abomination that is the PS1 game, but the SNES days.
agreed 100% sir pandah, might I add Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem, Nightmare creatures, Blackthorne, Viewtiful Joe, and Ico?

That, and Psychonauts, Beyond Good and Evil.

Anyone saying Portal is underrated should check what that word means. Or look at the amount of people saying "the cake is a lie" or with Companion Cube in avatar or other Portal images.

Not to mention it's getting a sequel already.

Well, Pokemon did have random battles (goddamn Zubats/Tentacools), and was definitely not the first to have non-random battles. It was innovative in a number of ways, but not in terms of how it treats random battles.
I also don't think you can call a multibillion dollar franchise underrated.

Psychonauts, XIII, Painkiller (All of em.), and God Hand.

Nuff said.
Psychonauts isn't underrated. It just didn't sold well.
Same. Underrated = doesn't sell well.

Same as Beyond Good and Evil - every review praises it, and I have yet to meet a person that has played it besides me.

I downloaded Psychonauts from xbox originals just to see what the fuss was about, and I do like it, but I haven't even finished it yet so I don't like it that much I guess.

Okami is a really pretty game, I only have the wii version which SHOULD have been perfect but I have some issues with the brush and I'm thinking I probably should have just grabbed the ps2 version.

I loved Eternal Darkness though, I finally felt like the gamecube was worth having when I played that game (although I did love Wind Waker).

The Katamari games are all pretty fun too, though Beautiful Katamari is pretty weak in comparison...
