The disco boss. Don't remember his name. Mainly because of his coke attacks. If you didn't choose assault rifles as a skill you're fucked
Or if you chose spec op history or whatever it's named.

Maybe you shouldn't be going to the deathclaws like that...

:D You can go around...they want you too!
I know you can go around. I'm on my third character right now. I'm just saying it's a pretty unfair fight. The player is there with a beretta and a vault suit against 7-12 of the most terrifyingly dangerous critters in Fallout lore.
You were warned multiple times not to go there. Your own damn fault really. :D

I don't know if anyones ever played bloody roar 3 but to unlock the final boss in the game( uranus) You have to play throught the entire arcade mode without continuing (nearlly bloody impossible) and then defeat unranus, who is rediculously fast, unreasonably strong and can easily destroy you without even letting your feet touch the ground (also she can teleport). That's when she doesn't use her beast form which is a 10 foot chimera that's twice as strong and fast as she is normally and can throw lighting from its fists. And then there is her hyper beast form which is just like the last one except gone super saiyan and on crack. o_O

Needless to say that was the most satisfying victory of my entire gaming life.

Final Fight with Shiro(GW:F)... Seriously... WHY?!?!?!?
This times every single time he teleported me (all bar ONE of the teleports across all attempts), even with Spoil Victor going, he is so lame. Sucked because I needed the item too, the guy helping me with it had already done it. Hate that fight, so much.

Definitly the final fight with Abomination in Incredible Hulk Ultimate Destruction. Not only did you have to defeat him with his eight health bars, but you also had to defend these dam generators (no literary they were apart of a dam) and if he destroyed them all you lost.

Lets put the most annoying features of a boss from any and every game and put it all in one jackoff!" *people at the table* "GOOD IDEA!!!" i just hope someone at this time jumped out a window.

And someone said wow bosses? Thats...surprising that would make this list o.o;

Darksiders when you have the little kill count scoring with black hammer, I couldnt get through that by just slashing everyone to bits. I HAD to use the gun to win.

I would say Seth from SF4. Whoever programmed him needs to learn how to do their job. Seth is not fun. At. All.

Or any fight against the increasingly tedious Ken Masters.
Spam Zangief's lariat.

There are plenty of problems with SF4's AI but I wouldn't call it unfair by any stretch. In fact, it doesn't really do anything a human can't do. Playing against a good HUMAN Seth player is far more annoying than SF4's boss fight.

But there are fighting games that are just flat out dick moves. Just about any SNK fighter counts.

Dragon Age: Origins. All of it. I've come as far as I've only by way of exploiting painfully obvious flaws in the AI, and not by some actual strategy. But that can only get me so far...
Oh, oh, the battle you get if you resist arrest fairly late in the game. It's pretty much designed to be impossible to win...

...Unless you run out of the room, and find that none of the archers have the brains to follow you. Finishing off the mages and melee units without their archer support is easy enough, and then you can take out the archers with ease after healing up a bit.

Wow, this thread is still going... I'll make another entry!

Since nobody objected to my last ravings about AIs being a total crapshoot, here's my next target: Final Fantasy 8. All of it. Now, hold up, FF8 fans (if there are any here). I played this game, so I should know of what I speak.

This game is designed to be unfair by its very premise. When you go out into the world and fight, you NEVER EVER get stronger than anything you ever battle. The creatures you fought waaay in the beginning in the first dungeon are just as lethal to you 50 levels later as they were back then. This is, of course, completely backwards. If a man trains himself to wrestle alligators and he makes it through so he's a really good gator-wrestler, the gators aren't gonna go off and train to be stronger against HIM. They stay at the same level. More to the point, animals in the wild certainly don't get better at resisting gunfire, say. Completely ridiculous.

The only way to get a one-up on everything in the game are your summons and their abilities. Which...frankly, even after I CHEATED LIKE HELL in the game...didn't make the game any more fun. The setup was tedious and time-consuming, and the delivery pretty much sub-par even when I had alot of power to call on. It never seemed to be enough to just make these monsters leave me alone. When you're making sure you have the ability to NOT ENCOUNTER MONSTERS engaged in an RPG, you have failed to make this game good. Let's also point out that some of the limit breaks? They're not as useful as they look. Some of them don't work (ever), some of them are basically a crapshoot, and some of them are...quick-time events. Seriously.

Lastly, I just want to go over the fact that, at the end of the day, nearly ALL THE BOSSES HAVE TOO MUCH HP TO BE REASONABLE! This is not conjecture. This is fact. Because the game is attaching fake difficulty via everything growing in tune with your level, many of the bosses (and some mooks) ramp up their HP like crazy, with maybe a few capping off somewhere semi-decent. And the closer you are to the end, the worse it actually is. When the battles, especially the FINAL battle, just keep on going and going with it being OBVIOUS who is going to win...it's unfair by being unfair to THE PLAYER. If your boss character should've died out 20 minutes ago, it's completely unfair.

I have separate rants on the final battle, which I'm not going to go into anymore. I just decided that the whole game is this thread and was done with it. FF8 fans, feel free to curse and spit in my direction if you like, but I did not have a good time with this game.

Velius in FF Tactics.

Ok, so hes does massive damage, 100% hit rate, has a powerful summon, can petrify you, the pathways are narrow and he has 3 minions to divert your attention. To top it off, the main character is weakened from the previous difficult 1 on 1 battle with no rest in between.

The first time I played through, this battle forced to restart the entire game and build my characters in a very specific way and all that did was reduce the fight from impossible to a battle of attrition that still took many tries.

Oh and if you get past all that you get to fight 2 assasins who can insta-kill you. Only after all that bs can you move on to chapter fucking 3 -_-

Sephiroth in the first game is incredibly insane but in the second one, as long as you have a few basic moves like high jump and whatnots, you should be able to win pretty easily
