Last fight in FFXIII was incredibly hard
Think thats hard? Try facing off against the dark aeons in 10, they were just plain ridiculous, if they had so much power, why didn't they just defeat sin themselves and save me the effort of having to fight sin AND them.

And even that pales in comparison to FF8's last boss, when I first played 8, I beat the main boss, then she released her GF, and I couldn't get past the GF, but I was sure if I beat that GF I would complete the game so I kept trying and eventually gave up, I found out in the day and age of Youtube that that boss in fact had four, FOUR!!! Transformations, each stronger than the last! If I couldn't get past the second, how the hell was I supposed to get past the third and fourth?

Lü Bu... That is all
You pretty much made my day with this answer.

Er, right. On topic. That giant wolf boss early on in Tales of Vesperia was ridiculously unfair. (After a quick Googling, I believe it is officially called Gattuso.) Also, Unlimited Ragna in Blazblue's Score Attack mode. Just... argh.

Unfair fights? Shadow of the Colossus comes to mind.

It's unfair because the colossi are just living their lives and you come along and peck at these magnificent creatures with a tiny sword, which seems to be severely OVERPOWERED if you can take down a colossus with that thing.

If I was playing as a colossus, I'd declare bull%#@$ and just commit suicide.

The sniper duel in Call of Duty: World at War on higher difficulties. You have to hit him multiple times to take him down, and he can move quick enough that you can completely miss him. Plus, his shots can hit you before you can hear them, and it only takes one to hit you (which he will, if you are even an inch out of cover).

Very frustrating. Also, any time you fight a Praetorian in Mass Effect 2 on Insanity.

"That and there were a couple of snipers, the game was reduced to a game of Die until you see his muzzle flash."

that sucked

Any incarnation of Ryu. Round one, Fight! HADOUKEN HADOUKEN HADOUKEN HADOUKEN. You lose!
YES! Fuck Ryu right to Hell!

Also on the topic of Fighting Games: Shao Kahn or Darkseid on Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe on the hardest difficulty.

also Shang Tsung on the original Mortal Kombat...a guy who has access to everybody's moves, can shepshift AND fires a series of 5 projectiles, making them almost impossible to block without getting hit at least one.

They Reaper when you first start playing Persona 3 fes and persona 4. If you spend ten minutes into a single floor to stat build and attack golden shadows, a level 80 monstrosity with high chance of instant death dark attacks and heavy hitting physical attacks comes to punish you for it. Yes, I'm in firm believe the game hates you,s ince I wouldnt even ttry to take the guy till your character is level 65 and your persona are all higher then that.

And the guy gets an instant attack advantage... so there's that.

Only on any difficulty above hard, really. I haven't actually fought him on hard but we always have the same strategy that works:
Find every available entrance hall and fill it with pipe bombs. He doesn't have time to heal then.

OT:
Probably Ansem Possesed Riku from the first Kingdom Hearts. I've finished the second game twice, but have yet to beat the first because of him.

For Ruby you need to start off with 1 party member unko'd. For Emerald make sure you only give people 8 pieces of materia as Airetam Storm does 1111 damage for each materia equiped. Airetam is actually materia backwards don't know if that helps.

OT: Seth is one of the most bullshit cheap bosses I have ever had the misfortune to fight against. Many of his attacks have way too high priority and his Hp is disproportionate to what it usually is. Mr Burns in Simpsons Wrestling and Flanders are also ridiculously annoying to beat. Many of bosses in NG2 are also a pain in the ass.
