GameFAQs are pretty bad, but in all honesty that site should be treated the same way you treat a porn store. You go in fast, grab what you need and then get out. You don't hang around and try to get to know the regulars!

So does unfriendly online community mean only in chat? Because that's all I'm reading about. Personally, I've found Halo to be the worst(speaking of actions, not words), because MW didn't start the teabagging craze, and Halo is still the predominate teabag game. At least you can mute voices.

That. Gamefaqs is a shadow of its former self, which honestly wasn't that great to begin with.
It is presently impossible to carry on any form of meaningful discussion whatsoever without the usual "LOL I TROLL U BETTER" bullshit. It completely defeats the point of the forums.

Their moderators are some of the absolute worst on the internet, and I do not say that lightly. Based on moderation behavior (what does and does not get moderated), they must follow a flowchart rather than using their own judgment. This makes it impossible to deal with problem users except through a long campaign of moderations. And then they just create an alt (or 50, I do not exaggerate here.) and try again.

Youtube is no better. It's a madhouse just looking at the comments 90% of the videos.

There are the few exceptions though. If you go on more philosophical and the more intelligent videos, you'll find far fewer trolls but there are still too many.

And as for GameFAQs....don't even get me started on that. I merely mentioned their existence in my first post because I could go on for an hour about how much I hate them, so I'll leave it with one statement:

Their users have no consideration for anyone else.

That's my biggest problem with that site and I still haven't forgiven them for spoiling Heavy Rain for me. *cries*
