Most Unlikable Anime Character?

Hm...most unlikable...well...I dunno, I sort of think that one of the least developed characters was...and, I mean, the one I didn't really like to begin with would probably be...oooooooh...all of them, I think. From...every anime thing ever. Probably. I dunno, there might be some I particularly dislike...but I think all of them were the most unlikable ones.



...either I'm going to liven up the thread or simply be ignored. Still need to look at "Korean Ex-Defense Minister Says Crisis "Isn't StarCraft"; that's just weird.

Misa from Death Note, or Nanalee from Code Geass. Yes, I'm picking on the crippled, blind child but she is so annoying.

Agreed with Misa from Death Note. I'll also go ahead and add (until you learn why) Asuka from Evangelion and Yuka from Elfen Lied. I just... really didn't like those two. Not bad characters, but Asuka irritated me and Yuka made me want to cringe everytime she started getting emo on screen.

Oh god Misa... Been watching Death Note again with a friend recently and I remember why I dislike her so much. =(

Would have to add Haseo from .hack//roots
Talk about wanting to reach into the screen and slapping someone upside the head. =/

M and N from Death Note because they were basically failed attempts to copy L. As soon as the Kira/L rivalry broke down Death Note lost its edge and for that I will dispise them till the end of time.

For me it's Edward Elric from Full Metal Alchemist, I tried to like him as he was the main protagonist but he contradicts himself so many times and he seems to like someone one minute then turn into a completely different person and hate them the next. His irrational hatred and anger just doesn't make sense and sort of kills the immersion for me.

I find your post ironic after examining your Avatar. I find Sasuke, Naruto, and Sakura very annoying, and they are possibly the most irritable protagonists out of any series I have watched. If not, Shao Tucker....poor Nina!

He may have been the hero, and wanted to protect his friends and all that stuff, but then back on Earth he was a complete dick, making people come to him to interview him about THEM employing HIM and then beating them up when they didn't offer him enough money.

I enjoyed the side-main characters (Sango, Miroku, Sessomouro, Etc.) but this whole stupid love triangle thing annoys the hell out of me.

Well, intentionally Unlikable? Medusa.

She is designed to be a character you HATE for the horrible, horrible things she does to her child, C(h)rona. Her character is well conceived to be as unlikable as possible, and you can't help but want to give C(h)rona a hug and give Medusa a punch to the face.

She is the best kind of researcher, the kind who will do anything to progress. Whats not to like? Dr. Stien on the other hand is my hated character, because he does his research ethicly, less ethicly than most but still ethicly.

probably been said a million times before, but Naruto from the american anime, and to a lesser extent the manga and the japanese anime. but mainly the american. i swear, every time he says "Believe it!" i wanna punch a baby. and his voice just grates. in the manga and original anime, he's just obnoxious, but i at least don't actively wish him dead.

She's a woman, sure, but she's a frickin' hero that murdered thousands and participated in countless battles. You? You're some kid who can give boners to things that usually don't get boners. Get over it.

To those who read that spoiler, I apologise for the rude language, but the guy has the ability to get on my nerves. And that's even considering that Fate/Stay Night is one of my favourite anime.

Oh god, so happy when they made the UBW movie and they actually made Shirou actually...well...useful lol the series one just made me want to punch him.

I find Sasuke and Sakura from Naruto VERY annoying in their own special ways. Sasuke is EMO and Sakura is too CLINGY! In Bleach, I would need to say the whats-his-face, the leader of the Develepment of Technology in SS or whatever it is. He is simply wayy too confident and mistreats women... thats just wrong!
