Chiaotzu from Dragonball Z. He is so very damn annoying. I can't stand the little bastard. I think he's pure evil.

And from Naruto: Tenten. I just find her really annoying. I mean I really like the way she fights, all of the weapons and stuff, but I think she's annoying. Very, very annoying.

Well the guy seemed to have this "Im better than you" air about him, granted he kinda was. That and he kinda come off as whiny, especially when he brought up his family. That and he just seemed like a dick... but thats just me. Im sure you really like the guy, and thats fine, I just couldn't stand him.
Oh and Misa from Death Note, every time she opened her mouth... I just wanted to slap her!!
I found this amusing, and also correct. Oddly that's what I like about Sasuke, the world shit on him and his response was to take a BIGGER shit on it. Not be a hero and try to change everything.

For me the answer is the hyper-kid. Don't care what show the hyper-kid will come in and make me seethe hate as the rapidly get into trouble/doom the world.

Shinji bloody Ikari (End topic)

He is such a whiny little ***** and he gets on my nerves so much. He alone is proberly the reason why neon genesis evangelion isn't my favourite anime. If the anime didn't have such a crappy excuse of a main character it would of been the god tier of anime's shame really.

But i got to admit though he is somewhat less whiny in the remake movies which is good.

Makoto from School Days was DELIBERATELY designed to be the most unlikeable possible douchebag in order to make it easier for the audience to accept the ending of the series
where one of his love interests (the one he got pregnant then publically dumped) stabs him to death, only for his other love interest (the one he initially hooked up with only to ignore in favour of the other one, causing her to lose her mind, until the other girl got pregnant causing him to go back to the first girl) to go nuts, cut the head off his corpse and keep it in a bag while she murders the other girl.
Yeah. It was that sort of show.

Like I said earlier, I disagree. The great thing about Shinji is that he's human, and feels the way a real person would feel in his situation. Oh, and it's spelled "nerves", not "nerve's"

Filia from Slayers Try and Misa of Death Note infamy, both for being unbearably annoying.

Maria Ushiromiya from the Umineko no Naku Koro ni anime wasn't too likeable either, although it may also have been her knowing laughter in/at what is to this day an absurd incomprehensible mess.

Miharu Shimizu from Baka to Test to Shokanju... I have nothing to say, other than she's insane and annoying...

Also Motoharu Tsuchimikado from To Aru no Majutsu no Index... So far from what I've seen, he's done some good, but does he have to dress and act like a douche?

I haven't watched much anime so there will be worse but:
sakura from naruto.
She is so fucking annoying.
In all the episodes I've seen she hasn't done anything!
She always wines about how she's useless, and she is. She just feels sorry for herself.
The only fight she's participated in she lost. (well it was a tie, the knocked each other out, but still)

the police girl from hellsing. I just found her voice so bloody annoying, but that could be because I watched the dubs instead of the subs.
She's pretty awesome though, in the Ovas she's... well, Ova 6 (or 5?) she does the most epic standoff I've ever seen.

At least in the ultimate she:

Grates someone's face against a wall until it's pretty much gone.

Oh and misa from death note, she served her purpose at the start of the series, but they still kept her for the rest of the series for some reason (I'm assuming fan service).

Casual Shinji

Should've gone before we left.

I agree with the OP. Edward Elric unlikeable as a protagonist. He was funny one minute and then deadly serious the next.
I think that's my problem with the entirety of Full Metal Alchemist; it constantly shifts on a dime from deadly seriousness to goofy comedy routine.

OT: Tenchi from Tenchi Muyo. He's surrounded by hot chicks yet he never decides on one, he just keeps stringing them along under the motto: I'm a sensitive guy who's nice to everyone.

People also probably tend to forget that Shinji saw his mother die in front of him at the age of 5 and immediately afterward was abandoned by his father. That tends to stick with you throughout your life.

Kaname Tousen and Sarugaki Hiyori (both from Bleach) - one has every other word being either "justice" or some other self-righteous spoutage, the other fills a character type which has already been done within the series and which was annoying in the earlier characters.

Most of the "characters" from Bleach. Aside from it being one giant deux ex machina of an anime there are just way too many characters that get thrown in.

I liked Gin though, and Aaroniero.

Haha I totally agree with this. If someone murdered my whole extended family I think I would do exactly what he did, try to get revenge. Things like village loyalty and friendship probably wouldn't seem so huge after everyone you ever cared about was slaughtered in one day. Good on him I say there are enough heros in animes finally someone has taken the realistic route!
