The Rock-It launcher from Fallout 3, it was very disappointing to say the least
I agree, you had to carry around all sorts of heavy garbage to have ammo for it..
But on the other side, it is kinda funny blowing someones head of with a teddybear..

Pretty much every gun in Dead Space except the line cutter.
Really? I really hated the line cutter, could never get the grenade/mine thing to work well.

I'd say everything was unsatisfactory except the buzz saw thingy and the Plasma Cutter
I found the buzz saw unsatisfactory, as it was just too bloody hard to aim.

First time through, I used only the Cutter. Got the achievement, and never really had much trouble. Well, there was that bit with the no-more-oxygen-and-heres-that-guy-that-grows-back, when I was running low on ammo, but otherwise I never really needed any other weapons.

Sniper rifle on Left 4 Dead. In a game with that many corners and indoor locations, you rarely have the moment that an infected is too far for the assault rifle to be effective. And it is not nearly as effective against an angry horde as the assault rifle or shotgun, with only 10 shots and just as long as a reload as the assault rifle.

I'd say the Glock in Counter-Strike.
dang, on med. range you allmost get life when being hit... clear headshot is not enough to kill instant, and even with the gun shoved up his nose, you can still miss(or at least it feels like it...) and still they use it on films and shit...

aaand all the shotguns in TF2, they hurt so little you might as well go into QCQ with melee. when you are close enough to do some damage, the enemy is in range of your melee, so.... it's rarly used on my computer...

I definitely second the minigun from F3. Even the unique one sucks compared to a regular AK. A minigun should make you feel like Arnold in T2. It only becomes adequate when you have 1000+ rounds for it. And the bolts in Stalker aren't a weapon, they were there to detect anomalies. It was a nod to the book, called Roadside Picnic. The usefulness of the machinegun in Doom depended on how you played. Yes, it did the same damage as the pistol, but much faster, and without losing much accuracy. I used it most of the game, didn't stop until I found the plasma rifle. It's a pale imitation of the machinegun from Quake 4, which is essentially a precision rifle. And the plasma cutter and force gun from Dead Space are monsters when you upgrade them all the way.

But the most underwhelming gun ever is the blowtorch(fitting) in Dead Space. It royally sucks. It was much easier to just beat them to death.

Regarding the F3 power armor:
It's a different model-the West Coast Brotherhood exclusively uses T-51b, and we all know how much better that is. In the first two games the Brotherhood was a fearsome bunch. In 3 they're just another faction. It's kind of a tragedy, in that the original Brotherhood would have cleaned up DC a long time ago. That's why the Outcasts rebelled. They knew what badasses they used to be, and they knew Lyons wasn't living up to it.

The only minigun that behaved like a minigun was in Vice City.
