Of course this isn't the first thread of its kind, but let us visit some of the least used features in some of our favorite games.
This thread was inspired when I unlocked the Shotgun attachment for my Famas in Modern Warfare 2, just to get the weapon's mastery...
Well, why not use it since I spent the time to unlock it? Hah! It sucked!
Now lets go to GTA IV. ATM machines. What? There are ATM machines? Yes! Can you deposit and withdraw money? No! You can simply check how much money you have, which can be done more easily by looking at the hud instead of driving to one of these useless machines...
Car washes are actually kind of nice though, some people say they're worthless, but once you get that nice rare car, respray it to your favorite color, and then run it through a car wash, it shines man...
...
Anyway, I'm sure there are a lot of different features and games to talk about, and I don't want to take all the good ones...
Go!

In the first God of War, the lightning Bolt item was crap, mostly because it used up so much magic for so little damage, the only time I think I ever used it was when the game crossed its arms and pointed at something that could ONLY be killed by it...

Is this a "in general" question or a "personal experience" question?
Because if it's that last one, it would have to be anything that isn't a sword or a health item in Oblivion. Seriously, just pick up a stick and run around beating the eyeball goop out of stuff. Heal when necessary. Rinse, repeat.
Can't really think of general examples though, but I feel like there's one waiting in Fable...just can't think of it...

Mini-games in general...if they aren't part of the plot I never bother with them.
Eh, if the minigame promises a new unlock or special item/money then it's worth it.
Sometimes I like to breeze through games, and other times I like to take my time...

Knives in pretty much any game I play as I would rather blow the crap outta something with big bullets than poke them with a metal thingy-mo-bob.

Pretty much anything that you get an explicit tutorial on and then are never given the opportunity to use effectively again. There are shitloads of these, but none of them are coming to mind right now.

PS3 six axis for GTA IV? I was at a friends house the other day and I saw the option for a tutorial for it in the phone menu (which stood out since I play on Xbox...).

Did anyone really use the 10mm pistol in Fallout 3 at all after getting another weapon? Compared to most other guns, it's a pea shooter.
Spam the small guns skill. VATS headshot. 1 hit kill on almost everything every time. The ammo is super cheap, and that's when you aren't finding bucket loads of it everywhere. I highly disagree with your statement, if played right it's a game breaker.

I never found that much use for Crowbar in HL2 after Gravity gun was introduced
I guess it wasn't totally useless since I use it to beat headcrabs to death

Final Fantasy XIII Summons - didn't use them at all because it seemed like bosses/monsters were never that dire to actually go for it.

Probably because A) You can easily fast travel just about anywhere and B) Even if you don't, it only takes about an hour to get from one side of the map to the other on foot (less if you have decent athletics skill.) Also, they have a tendency to run away/die when attacked, and you can't fight from their backs. In other words, they're a huge waste of money, though there's not much else to spend it on anyway.

I find that if the game gives me a nice usable cross hair to work with I won't both with the iron sights.

In all my playthroughs of Fallout 3, I do not know that I used Rad-X more than a handful of times. In fact, most of the non stimpack chems went unused for me.

No, When pedestrians are done with using one and you kill them you get more money... They are very useful when you start out.
Eh, I always found an extra cop car or fat police officer enjoying a donut nearby...
Plus I've only ever found one in the whole game, and it's next to the damn preacher outside your Bohan safehouse...
