Maybe we're looking at this the wrong way. Maybe suicide is a good thing for the rest of us, eh? Those persons of the temperament and emotional distress sufficient to kill themselves will be removed from our society, and if they take their kids with them then the state doesn't have to worry about what to do with the orphans.
That's a very sadistic, cold and fucked-up way of thinking you got there.
While fucked-up and cold are your own opinions, I fail to see how it is sadistic. Isn't that supposed to mean "enjoys inflicting pain on others?" Perhaps you misunderstand me: I do not laugh at human weakness nor do I wish it on others. I am merely saying that maybe we're better off without these kinds of people.

Sorry, but what is the discussion value here?

Yeah it's horrible. I'm glad one of the kids survived. Blah blah blah! I don't really know what else to add. Erm, the Mum was an idiot?

Try losing someone close to you through suicide, and then tell me it's a good thing for society.
Or just anyone close to you period. That shit changes you, and if it doesn't, well then that is just fucking frightening.

Having once written a 1000 word essay on the inside of a ping-pong ball, I can safely tell you that you can find discussion in anything. Just use your brain.

I feel for the surviving son, but I feel sorry for the mother. She didn't have the proper mindset to solve the cheating/child endangerment situation. If someone's cheating on you and endangering your children, you don't kill your own children.

You kill the thing that's endangering your children and cheating on you.

I mean, if you want to solve it quickly and effectively. Otherwise, call the police and go through the official process of getting a restraining order, etc.

Doesn't change the fact we should encourage discussion value on this forum. It's annoying when people just post "news".

OT: At times like this making a license for being a parent seems like the right thing to do...
ha, but seriously this whole situation is quite depressing. who in their right minds would think that murdering their kids is the best solution?

Oh, I see. You're one of those guys who thinks it makes them look cool to be completely emotionally cold and callous.

Well guess what, it doesn't. It makes you look like a spoiled loser who doesn't appreciate the value of human life.

It's fucking endemic on these forums. Every time I see a thread about killing or war there's always a huge amount of people who act like this just to look tough. It sickens me. People on here need to learn some human empathy.

I'll probably get moderated for this, but I don't care. You and and everyone else who talks like this disgust me.

OP: A very saddening tale. I respect anyones right to take their own life, it's our own body, we can do as we choose, but don't drag your children into it.

The fact she had a last minute change of heart only makes the story more depressing.
I agree, that needed to be said.

Its so popular here, but they just look like tools. Children died here, but thats a good thing because the state doesn't have to deal with it? That is terrible. Looking at human beings as burdens isn't excusable. I don't even have words to describe how awful it is that people think they look cool posting crap like that.
