Yes, it sucks, but the only real tragedy here is that she took other lives with her.
I don't encourage suicide, and I never will, but if you are going to do it don't take others with you.
I don't either. I only respond because I wasn't sure if you where quoting me to support that, or talking to me. I just wanted to clear up any misconception that I might be apathetic to a person killing themselves.
I would love to be able to help everyone in need. I just understand that all you can do is let people know you are there to help, you can't watch them 24 hours a day, and the warning signs are usually only apparent afterwards. Everyone get's depressed, or sad, unless they start talking about suicide there really isn't much you can do.
That was my point. Help was there for the lady, she just ignored it, willingly or not she ignored it and concealed from others the extent of her true feelings. The people interviewed said the same things you always hear: "She seemed off." "She seemed sad." You just need more then that before you can act on a person's behalf, against their will. So that's why I say it sucks that she killed herself, but it's not a tragedy. The only real tragedy is that she took the lives of innocent children in the process.
