A little trip to heaven.
An Icelandic/American film, directed by Baltasar Kormángur.Starring Forest Whitaker and Julia Stiles.I quite enjoy it.Even if the last 20 minutes or so make no sense at all.
That was the most time wasting film EVAR! I'd advise everyone not to see it.

Also, I hate your avatar, it just irritates me no end! BLLARRRGG!
I must now seek out and watch this film.

Anyway, anything with Forest Whitaker has got to be good.

Ghost Dog anyone?

And as this is the Escapist I have to mention the film Stalker by Andrei Tarkovsky, the film which (partly) inspired the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game series. [small](And I'm not searching through 8 pages of thread to see if anyone's already mentioned it, so bite me ;)[/small]

Brick, but I'm pretty sure I got the idea to watch it from this forum.
The fact that I was ninja'd means that my post would be a lie. Love that film. ;)

Okay then...Y tu mama tambien?
Seen it! \o/

How about Man som hatar kvinnor (English translation: Men Who Hate Women; English release title: The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo).

[small]Although I already know at least a couple people on here have seen it, I still think it's pretty rare.[/small]
Excellent film, though I think if you asked people about this film half a year ago and beyond, they never would have heard of it, so it's just bad timing I guess.

True Stories and Welcome to the Dollhouse.

I'm sure people on the escapist have seen them, but being 2 of my favorite films I'm pretty hard pressed to find someone who enjoys them as well

[sub]I'm not going to look through 8 pages for this but[/sub] I'd guess Bad Taste, Peter Jackson's first film.

I'm going to guess Spirited Away. At least no one is my whole town has seen it.
I've seen it. One of the few films like that that I have seen, but good nonetheless.

Oh I know a good one which is probably the WORST movie I've ever seen

The Last Mimzy

It was the inflight movie on my way back from Spain and it was so awful that it was one of those films you HAVE to keep watching to see how bad it gets.

I'm sure there are others who have seen these two, but I'll list them anyway.

Orphan and Doomsday
i've seen Doomsday, i never thought too much of it, especially after it went a bit batshit towards the end.

Satantango by Bela Tarr, a seven and a half hour movie about a small town in Hungary
Yes!! Though i'm a bit of a failure... as i only made it halfway through... But watching the rest of it is high on my list of film priorities.

Werkmeister Harmonies is the only other Bela Tarr film i've seen. I'm guessing more here will have seen that than Satantango? Still, relatively lesser known.

The TV movie of Terry Pratchett's Going Postal.

Man that thing was awesome.
i watched that!
it was great, only thing was my dad (who is a massive Pratchett fan) kept narrating most of by saying how he thought that certain characters were "not just right" according to the book, lol

I'm having trouble figuring out how much jail time I'll be doing after looking at your avatar. She's legal in most western countries, yes?
I don't know. But I am kinda sure that she is at least 18.
Thank heavens for that, and here I thought that I was the only one.

OT: Meet the Spartans... Just kidding, I'd never actually watch a film like that, though I assume that no one else here would, either.

Idiocracy is a bit like Freddy Got Fingered. I know a few people who have seen it. Opinions vary alot more with Freddy.

Two Girls And A Guy I think it was called. It was on TV ages ago one night and I figured I'd watch it. I think it was from Heather Graham's early career because the budget must have been tiny. 3 characters, 3 extras at the beginning and the whole thing is set in one apartment. It was actually pretty good.

Heheh, I've seen most of the stuff here.

My film buffness remains intact!

Anyway, I very much doubt many people on here have seen Come and See. It's a 1985 Soviet anti-war film (Yes, you read that right) set during the partisan revolts in Belarus during WW2 against the Germans.

Probably one of the most anti-war films ever made. There's some bits in it, like the ending in the village, that are really difficult to watch. Not because they're gory or anything, but what happens to the civilians in this film is just horrible.
Seen it, Kimov never made another movie, I still preffer Agoniya.

Some more

Taiga by Ulrike Otinger, an eight hour documentary feature about mongolian nomads

Anatomie de l'enfer by Catherine Brellat (avoid at all costs....)

Batalla en el Cielo by Carlos Reygadas (perhaps the most pretencious movie ever filmed)

Da Düva a little gem from the seventies, parody of Igmar Bergman's films

Kevin and Perry go Large by Ed Bye, absolutely the WORST movie ever made
