]Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sympathy_for_Mr._Vengeance] and Sympathy for Lady Vengeance [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sympathy_for_Lady_Vengeance].
Both part of the Vengeance Trilogy, which also include Oldboy, which I also doubt anyone has seen(From where I live, anyways.)
Oldboy i have seen multiple times, and thought it was an excellent film, yet to see the other two, would you recommend them ?

I watched Little Big Man the other night. Getting into the classics, for the last ten years or so. "Have I told you about my new wife, the snake woman? Snake women like to copulate with horses. She doesn't though. That's why I call her Doesn't Like Horses. I think she's lying."

Fucking Amal

People tend to get the wrong idea when the plot can only be described as a teenage lesbian love story, but it's a heartwarming and well-acted movie.

I don't know if this applys here, but I'm the only one I know of that has seen Dead Snow, which was insanely funny.
Is that the one with the Nazis? I might be thinking of a different movie, but my net is seriously constrained right now so I can't look it up.

Equilibrium. It's a scifi movie that came out around the same time as the matrix so it go overlooked. It's really good though.
Epic movie, one of my favourites.

Anyways, I can't speak for this forum, as I know people here have seen it, but nobody around where I live has heard of 28 Days Later before I introduced them to it.

EDIT:

I thought Lord of War was pretty good, on the whole. The Cell was also pretty awesome. I agree with the Pan's Labyrinth comment. My friend recorded it and let me watch it... the following day I went out and bought it.

All in all, though, I'm quite fond of the Shakespeare Retold series that the BBC did - a series of Shakespeare plays redone in modern settings, my favourite being Macbeth with James McEvoy. I also really enjoyed their Jekyll miniseries.

This one is definitely obscure to the people I know, and I'm saddened that no one I know has seen Once Upon a Time in the West or any other Sergio Leone western. Its a better genre than people give it credit for.
You need better friends.
America owes the resurgence of one of their premiere Hollywood icons to his work. Otherwise, Eastwood would probably be a mostly forgotten television actor.

OP: Salo, or the 120 Days of Sodom.

You didn't say it had to be a good film.

Seen it, loved it, and I'm still wishing there would be a sequel.

My choice is the Silent Hill movie.
Remember all the gore?
Thought so.

Six String Samurai.

It's a post-apocalyptic road movie where the main character is a kung fu Buddy Holly.
Perhaps my favourite movie concept ever. It's a shame it was so mediocre in execution. Still enjoyable, but simply not as amazing as it could have been.

OT: Logans Run would be my entry. I know very few who have seen it.
Seen it. TERRIBLE. At least we got some chuckles at its expense.

The amazing cult classic Donnie Darko, come on it's a great film they even discuss smurfs!
I particularly love the awkward dialogue. "Emotional problems? I have those!"
Dude does know a lot about smurfs (reminds me of the smurf argument between Numbers 21 and 24 on the Venture Bros.).

Escape from New York and Escape from LA..both are awesome.
Escape from New York is such a cheesy movie; of course, I am a fan of cheesy movies. Funny story: when the gang leader is talking to Snake for the first time, I predicted all his lines in the scene. With my riffs on the scene.

Hmm... I bet no one else here has seen Enlightenment Guaranteed (Erleuchtung garantiert). (It was okay.)

Hopefully, someone else has seen Local Hero, possibly my favourite movie ever.

Crows Zero, Sukiyaki Western Django, Versus, or Wild Zero.

Crows Zero is a brilliant Japanese movie that follows a manga. The story is wonderful and the fighting is amazing. It's realistic, too. None of that flying on a wire crap. The second movie was just as amazing as the first. Crows Zero is my favorite movie of all time.

Sukiyaki Western Django is a Japanese western but it's in English. Quentin Tarantino had a hand in it, so you know it's nutty.

Versus is a zombie action flick. Fighting, guns, zombies, zombies with guns, very odd plot. Very strange and low budget. Also Japanese. This movie is so cheesy and cliche it's actually good.

Wild Zero is a movie about space zombies that came to Earth. Easily the weirdest movie I've ever seen. Also Japanese.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YQ_D9OjDoQ0

Yes, I love Japanese movies.
