Throne of blood, the Call of Cthulhu (silent film), Jack Brook: Monster Slayer. The lsit of pretty obscure films I have watched is actually pretty long, those are some of the better ones.

I remember that movie. Talking animals still kind of freak me out though...

OT: Heavyweights.
I loved that movie, and I can't figure out why...

Howl's moving castle and ponyo
I saw and liked both of those and may have the howl's moving castle on DVD (although I'd have to check that).

Movies I doubt others have seen are my neighbors the yamadas, and quite possibly Shakespeare in love and Akira kurosawa's Ran.

It's about Elvis and black JFK teaming up against an ancient Egyptian mummy that lives in their old folk's home and survives by sucking the souls out of the residents' ass holes. And it's actually a pretty good watch.

If I'm lyin' I'm dyin'.
Seen it, loved it.

I know a few people on this site have seen this movie but the majority haven't so I'll say it anyway: In Bruges

The Plague Dogs, The Breed (yes, that one "sucky" horror movie with the dog island), Animal Farm, Ginger Snaps, Legend, and The Last Unicorn. All favorites of mine, but they don't seem to be very common. Oh, and also The Legend of Lobo.
I have a lot, I know. ^_^;
and I've seen them all, except the Breed and The Plague Dogs, but I read the book for the second so blah!

"Shelter"- Gay romance movie that is WAY better than "BrokeBack mountain..and its characters are way more down-to-earth. Obviously most people wouldn't care to watch it or haven't heard of it because it was made by an LGBT film studio.

"Kundun"- Talks about the Tibetian Dalai Lama's life up until he has to escape his now conquered homeland. The film boasts some of the most beautiful cinematography I've seen in any late 90's film but the plot maybe too slow for most to stand (it's a sort of "spiritual" film that requires you to be in the mood though it's not only 2 hours long).

"Mary and Max"- A Funny/sad claymation film about a lonely Australian girl who befriends a pen-pal named Max (an overweight, awkward guy who has aspergers syndrome) who lives in New York City. Its story is VERY weird and hilarious, yet heart-warming. Be warned, it gets angsty toward the end :"(

Event Horizon. One of my all time favorite sci-fi horror movies. Every time I mention it, nobody knows what I'm talking about. Am I going crazy or something? It was AWESOME!

The Happiness Of The Katakuris.

If you've not seen it, you need to.
I LOVED that movie. I received a copy from a friend of mine for my birthday a while ago. She also gave me a copy of the movies Stacy, which is just ridiculous, and Biozombie which is so hard to find and so much fun to watch.

As for movies not many people have seen, I will go with The Loved Ones, an awesome Australian movie that I saw at Tiff's Midnight Madness and as far as I know, it still hasn't gotten a distribution deal outside of Australia. This is a horrible shame, as this movie was all kinds of awesome.

Ditto. I was expecting the cheesiness, but I was wonderfully surprised by the poignancy. Great movie.

The Lucky Ones

It's has a pretty good cast, great acting, and is just a real easy movie to watch. I'd say it's a drama, but it has comedy thrown in. It's about three soldiers home for a month and their cross country trip. If you can find it, it's worth a chance.

I was really surprised to find out that it was literally filmed 10 minutes from my house (southern Illinois) in 2008, yet I didn't see or hear about it till 2010.

I've looked for that movie for months now and can't find it (except the internet, but I like to hunt stuff down). When I found it on TV and tried to record it, it started recording 20 minutes in to the movie.

That and Everything Is Illuminated are two movies that elude me.

I only watched it for a report, and I found it to be pretty boring, but I doubt that anybody else here has seen
Lawrence of Arabia.

Adaptation. Written by Charlie Kaufman.
Not quite hollywood. A doco about cult low budget Aussie films.

Isn't that based on serial killer Andrei Chikatilo? I think Evilenko was loosely based on the same guy.

The machinist would have been pretty good if i didn't see Fight Club before it.
