Disney movies...

It is physically impossible to make any half-tolerable game out of one of them...
Tron?????? Hello that was a Disney movie if you remember...
I'll give you that one too...

Stop contradicting me people!!!
I know Tron and Aladdin have been mentioned (the Mega Drive version of Aladdin is better than the SNES one, I don't care what people say), but The Lion King was also great. Also, Mickey Mania by David Jaffe himself is based on plenty of Mickey Mouse shorts and films. There's a bunch of decent Donald platformers, that Mickey and Donald game was kind of cool, too. Oh! Duck Tales on the NES, pretty damn good... Some people liked PSOne's Hercules, too, it was a bit simplistic to me, but still.

Also, I hope Epic Mickey turns out great, even though it's not directly tied to a TV series or movie...
Okay I withdraw my accusation that Disney games suck...

But now I accuse Jurassic Park in Disney's place...
Actually the Jurassic park game on the Sega Genesis was a pretty good top down shooter.

.... Sorry.

I'd like to see EA make Rudy mainly to see if they would dare attempt a second Rudy the next year...and the year after that...and the year after that...

Cloverfield.

A railshooter with a crazy and out of control camera.

Also District 9: I used to think this would be cool but now I realise I just wanted to play with the alien guns and any game adaptation would utterly miss the point of the movie.
wouldn't it be more of a survival horror game that would only have about 30 mins-1hr of game play (if they are lucky)

To Kill A Mockingbird. I hate that as soon as I typed that I started thinking of ways to make it a game.

Oh, Citizen Kane. "Press X to drop a snowglobe."
"Rapidly tap B to say dying words."

Since there is no movie that can't be turned into a pinball machine I don't think that there are any that can't be turned into a video game.
Or a Peggle game, any movie would work.

Anything that David Lynch have made.

... Or can they? Hmmm.
I could imagine a Blue Velvet RPG or a Twin Peaks chess game.
I'd imagine that a point and click or Heavy Rain-esque adventure would suit them more tbh.

Hmm... I don't think that counts, since Kingdom Hearts was a game FIRST.

Oh, and good job learning how to use tags. Took me forever to get it right.

How about any of them? When have good games ever been made from movies? Why do we keep trying?

In KH2 the Disney worlds are more heavily based on the movies themselves. So pretty much its like a bunch of Disney movies you get to interact with. Which for me was pretty damn cool taking part in the movies i grew up with. So i would count it.

I think the question should be.. can't or shouldn't?

Because you can make a game about any movie. Even just by making the movie into a text adventure that follows the narrative.

Whether it would be any good is a different matter.

Gone with the Wind, Pleasentville, old B&W movies, anything with Vincent Price in it (who's going to voice his character?).
