....I thought I was the only person who likes Treasure Planet!
I have found my TRUE BROTHER!

Oh, another movie I really liked but no one else did: The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai, Across the Eight Dimension.

It's got Peter Weller, Christopher Lloyd, the bad guy from Highlander 1, Jeff Goldblum AND John Lithgow, who delivers the best line in cinematic history: "LAUGH WHILE YOU CAN, MONKEY-BOY!"

By strict definition, if I don't want anyone to know I like a movie, why the hell do you think I'd tell you?

Doom: First person sequence I loved.
Sponge bob squarepants(but only when put at 2x speed with the dialog still on.) They sound like they are on crack.

Also, Starship Troopers is FTW, anyone who doesn't "get" it must be sterilized for the good of the Federation.
I 'get' the book, but the film was a insult to it because it didn't.

Godzilla (It's a childhood thing, plus Jean Reno is in it)
This was the thing, despite my national dislike of the French; Reno is a god in all films he touches.

I don't think I've ever told anyone this but I liked the Popeye movie/musical with Robin Williams in it. He's really funny in it. Normally, I hate musicals with a passion, but I liked that one.

While I was disapointed in the poor acting in the Star Wars prequels, I did like the lightsaber fights and spaceship fights. Those are really the best parts of all the Star Wars movies though. Liam Neeson, Christopher Lee and Samuel Jackson can act. I've seen them do it in other movies. It's a shame Lucas didn't let them in these movies. They probably got so sick of doing the same scenes over and over so the special effects guys could get all the measurements, readings, blocking etc right for their computer graphics that they said "screw it" and just spat their lines out woodenly. The CG characters like Watto and Yoda had more personality than the humans showed.

I liked Transformers. I read it often in this thread, didn´t know it was hated. Well maybe by fans of the old comics, i wasn´t into them, same as Spiderman, X-Men and all the other comics.

Also, Van Helsing.

I hear alot of Transformers bagging on this, who didn't like it and why? I was skeptical but ended up loving it. I can only think of Stardust, I enjoyed that. Found out some of my other mates did too, so mentioning I liked it turned into a major bonding session, of which I mean emotionally, not with gaffa tape and paddles or anything. Try this, say you like it, you may acquire a newfound closeness to your friends. Now I have to lift weights and play God of War to balance out this pansy response for "fear of catching the gay"

...Also any musical. I just love musicals. ><
I simply adored Gilbert & Sullivan's 'HMS Pinafore'. I have The Music Man on VHS as well. I like musicals also and am proud of it.
