If I really didn't want anyone to know what films I liked, I wouldn't post it on a forum.

I personally loved the film Vanilla Sky. I don't know why people hated it. Yes, Tom Cruise is and always will be a colossal screw-ball jerk. But the artistic direction of the film was brilliant and the ending was the best I have personally, ever seen. I can't understand why people hate it.

End of Evangelion - I know that it's completely pretentious and that half the symbolism in it was thrown in by the director just to mess with people's heads, but I really liked it. A lot. Even though every logical fibre of my being is screaming against how much of a pretentious, art-show, symbolism-for-the-sake of symbolism type of film that it is. It just had such a good art-direction that I ignored it's flaws.

Oh, and The Matrix: Reloaded. Never understood why that film go so much grief. I can understand why people hated Revolutions, but I really enjoyed Reloaded.

I actually did like the first pokemon movie. As much as i despise pokemon, there was something about the first movie that was rather compelling and good about it. Had an interesting plot and some good themes.

Oh yeah the first Pokemon movie, I did enjoy watching the protagonist die, I just wish they hadn't brought him back to life like 30 seconds later, he is annoying.

For me the satisfying part was not seeing Ash die but MewTwo's perception of the different things within the movie. His hatred and malice towards humans and his view of life kinda hit me in some odd way. It was just a rather good movie which i was surprised to say the least.

Dr.Kay said:
the first Digimon movie, possibly the best anime to movie ever created, very different from the anime storyline and, dare I say, the dub is better than the sub in it!

On a side note, I love Kung Fu Panda, and I'm not afraid to admit it, what am I saying? EVERYONE loves it anyway!

*cough* ironman sucks
The Digimon movie wasn't horrible
Digimon wasn't a horrible series, as per standard (all anime have one or two) they had the odd annoying character but they didn't show much of them, the movie wasn't horrible. I didn't like how the even-numbered seasons were shit compared to the odd numbered ones (in order when they came out in America) Season 1 was incredibly long it started with 7 kids ended with 8 and was all in all fairly good. Season 2 featured the original 8 being older and unable to really participate due to the end of season 1, which was crap because it didn't seem to bother them during that episode, and the replacement characters were insipid and moronic, often times bloody useless. Season 3 was dark and scary as hell compared to the previous 2 seasons especially considering it went back to the "You can and probably will die if you act stupid here." of season 1 only it got closer and killed a main character (not a human though)there was amazing amounts of character progression in that season. Season 4 stuck to the trend of the even numbered seasons being crap, the characters were somewhat uninteresting fuck-wits, and I find myself unable to catch season5 in any order but it looks somewhat interesting

What about Iron Man did you not like? I'll be honest if you read the original comics or watch the 90's cartoon that is a fairly dead-on portrayal of the character, however the current incarnation of Iron dick..I mean Iron man is truly crappy he seems like more of a villain than a hero right now, but he is still nothing compared to Mr. Fantastic and Ant Man.

Whoa, what's wrong with some of you?! Hehe. Some of you have listed some awesome films as being ashamed of! Some that spring to mind without me trawling back through are:

Event Horizon (One of the best films. Ever.)
Dragonheart
Stardust
Transformers Animated Movie
Time Bandits
Hot Shots Part Deux
Eternal Sunshine

All awesome films! So anyone who listed those as being ashamed of liking them...well, you should be ashamed of yourselves ;) hehe!

Hmmm as far as being ashamed of liking a film, you should like what you like and not give a flying monkey's about what other people think of your taste in films :)

Though films I like that people would deem as "embarrassing" are probably Die You Zombie Bastards (tagged as a "serial killer superhero Rock'n'Roll Zombie road movie romance")...and err, that's all I can think of really. Can't think of any reason for the films I like to be embarrassing :) Though I did get lots of stick about DYZB because of the B-movieness of it all.

I am not ashamed to admit that I like any movie, but the most risque movie that I LOVED would be Running with Scissors.

All the Pokemon films, and Cats Don't Dance. I still watch the latter to this day.

Oh, also The Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy, but only because seeing the movie was what made me read the book, not the other way around.

Super Mario Brothers...its one of those movies that's so completely horrible that its just plain funny.

The new Star Wars trilogy, dont know what the hell everyone else hated about it...I even enjoyed Jar Jar's additions to the comic relief (R2 can only do so much on his own)

Titanic...Leonardo DiCaprio was a total ***** in this movie and Kate Winslet got on my nerves, but I really enjoyed the rest of the movie, the atmosphere on the ship as it was going down was incredibly done.

I enjoyed the movie Dogma. Don't know why, though. Maybe it is because of that they tell you how to generalise angels.

I feel great shame for what I am about to say but, I don't want anyone to know I liked StarGate, because, whenever I tell someone I do they say, 'OH, do you mean SG-1 or Atlantis', and when they do, I jam a pretzel into their eye out of pure anger towards the science-fictionally challenged.
