Midichlorians were inserted by Lucas to shut up the religious nuts who were afraid he was promoting Buddhism to children. he mentioned them a little in the movie and then never again because even he doesn't buy that crap. he made it scientific so all of the whiny parents would leave it the hell alone. Did it mess up some things? Yes, but then again so do religious nuts like that.
I don't feel like the Midichlorians did anything to ruin the Force because it seems to me that they don't exist even within the context of the movie. I mean, Qui-Gon Jinn is basically wrong about everything, so any new information he gives us has to be at least questionable. When I originally saw The Phantom Menace, I thought the concept was going to unfold into an interesting story about religion and science, with Midichlorians representing some kind of fundamental flaw in the Jedi Council (a flaw without which they'd never lose Anakin to the Dark Side)... but no, they just never mentioned them again. It doesn't matter anyway, the prequels also don't exist.

And I loved Star Trek 5. I genuinely don't see what all the fuss is about, unless one takes it way the hell too seriously.

Hmmm, movies that everyone but me hates. Well I know quite a few people hate equilibrium, but I think that it would be quite a hit on these forums, just like how army of darkness is.

I honestly have no idea, at all. God damn it. Chances are I'll have loads once people start posting.
People hate Equilibrium? Wow.

Monty Python and the Meaning Of Life.
I don't think I've ever met a single (male) person that didn't like anything made by Monty Python
Well, the main reason that's on the list is because, aside from And Now For Something Completely Different, which was less a movie and more a best-of collection, it's the least popular of the movies from what I've seen. But to me, it's either as good or better then Holy Grail.

Watchmen. I don't know why people don't like it, it's Zack Snyder (who made 300 and the very decent Dawn of the Dead remake) directing along with the screenwriter of X-Men and X2.
