Alien Apocalypse.

Yes, I know it's a Sci-Fi (not using Syfy, because A.That's stupid and B.They made if while they were still Sci-Fi) Channel Original Movie, and I know it objectively sucks, but come on! Bruce Campbell! As Space-Jesus! Killing pallet-swapped Geonosians with a crossbow and a rusty WWI-era-ish officer's sword! It's just too awesome to not like, no matter how many gaping plot holes and terrible actors it has!
hahaha, Bruce Campbell ALWAYS delivers tho... like that one part where he shoots that guy with the crossbow, and the dude just looks at him for a second and is like, "I thought you were a doctor... you're supposed to heal people!!!" And Mr. Campbell is all, "I did. You're stupidity was terminal, now you're cured."

I'm paraphrasing, but that's close... and it is pretty much worth the rest of that horrible, horrible movie.

OT. The Ninth Gate. No one I know really likes it, or really even watched it... but I love it.

I think it's only on The Escapist that The Titanic hardly gets any love even though it's spectacular film. Yeah, some of the dialogue at the beginning is really mushy but it's been edited so well, also good music and some amazing unforgettable scenes.

All my friends don't like it but I thought it was so entertaining...especially the 1st action scene that just got more and more ridiculous (I was practically on the floor in stitches when the train came out of the tunnel and they had to manoevre the plane around it)

I appreciated that movie quite a bit.

Secondly, now don't kill ne or anything, I know their not works of art or even all that good but *raises sheild* The Transformers films, now hear me out, they are along way from being great films, but I do find them entertaining, when the robot fighting starts it's good dumb fun, I agree with most of the complaints especially the fact that thre is just too much of the humans, and the 2 stupid robots in the second were worse then Jar Jar and Ewokes combined, but I do enjoy watching them. I've yet too see the third though.
I HAVE seen the third one, and that movie EASILY makes the Transformers trilogy my favorite trilogy of all time. Replaced the Original Star Wars trilogy.

The Star Wars prequels.
I happen to think they are the third best trilogy of all time, right behind the originals. (I am sorry, Anakin and Luke were BOTH whiny little brats as kids, why is that a surprise? It makes the relationship seem more believable)

The Star Wars prequils, I really enjoy them. Those and the Fast and Furious films, switch off the brain, sit back and enjoy
I am not aware of anyone who DOESN'T like the Fast & Furious movies. (Yeah, 2 Fast's premise that an Eclipse could beat a Yenko Camaro is so flawed I can't even say it is backwards without being an understatement, but other than that, it was a very good series.)

The star wars prequels (could have gone without Jar Jar though) the Matrix and Pirates of the Caribbean sequels (come to think of it, those two crossed over would be awesome) I know they had a lot to be desired, but I still loved them.
There are no Matrix sequels. But the Pirates Trilogy is my fourth Favorite (I haven't seen the Fourth, but it looks awesome. Captain Sparrow was always my favorite character.)

To save a life. A good movie that most people hated for being to Christian. Which it was but in a very real way that doesn't force feed it. Great movie loved it.
Also loved those Star wars prequels but i also love star wars in general.
And dudgeon's and dragons 2 the ones with the dragon. Great movie.

I really can't explain myself. I just really like the whole series.

I loved The American, and I seem to be one of the only ones. I get how someone who walked in expecting a Jason Bourne movie would be disappointed, but it's really not supposed to be. It's a rather subdued (and beautifully shot) character study that happens to be framed by spies and assassins. Still, people like what they like *shrugs*

Matrix Reloaded. Everyone seems to hate on it, but I think it is connected with the fact that the payoff in Matrix Revolutions was shit.

Final Fnatasy: Spirits WIthin - It was a great movie, albiet it had nothing to do with Final Fantasy. It was great sci-fi concept, good character models for the time, and decent payoff. Too bad it tanked.

People hate Space Jam? It's MJ and the Looney Tunes & R. Kelly! :p

Sucker Punch. Made more unusual since I'm a girl. I'm not sure what popular opinion was, but critics, and some of my favorite lady-blogs all hated on it for being "Exploitative". Not how I saw it, but there you go.

Skyline

Almost every single person I know was absolutely scathing, but they were criticising exactly the kinds of things people complain about in "yay america" sci-fis.

They watch ID4, and they hated the unrealistic rubbish, eg:
"why can a f-18 shoot down a vastly superior alien space ship?"
"why can will smith basically one-hit-kill an alien in combat suit?"
"wtf is the president doing flying a fighter plane?!"

Then they saw Skyline, and complained reverse:
"no way could that house sized alien take a bazooka! it's made in the US of A!"
"what the hell?! they killed Turk from Scrubs!? That's illegal!"
"the ending was stooopid. Humans would have kicked alien arse."
"ps. USA, USA, USA!"

Skyline presented a thoroughly plausible version of alien invasion - you gonna get raped, and no matter how hard you try, you might as well just pass them the lube and think of happier times.

Kung Pow: Enter the Fist doesn't seem to get a lot of love. Admittedly, it is very, very stupid, but I love that movie so much.

Edit:

And I love Ninja Assassin. Go figure.

Cloverfield. I still don't understand how people hate it. Undesputable best movie ever, no, worst movie ever, apparently that's what all my friends think.

I'm gonna say "End of Evangelion", because when me and my friends watched it I was the only one that saw it as the jewel it was! And the others can go fuck themselves...

...pretty sure I'm the only one here who's actually watched it though...
